01 border crossing : A modern border terminal rooted in the Jordan Valley. still in progress
Project Aim To reimagine the border crossing from a space of friction into an ordered architectural threshold. By integrating linear circulation, environmental shading, and intuitive functional zoning, the design ensures seamless passenger flow, climate protection, and a strong contextual connection to the Jordan Valley landscape. Project Brief Conceived as a climate-responsive gateway in the Jordan Valley, the project is structured along a clear crossing spine defined by the surrounding topography. A linear axis organizes arrival, processing, waiting, and release into a legible and dignified sequence. To eliminate transit confusion, separate spatial volumes establish a clear hierarchy between public, semi-controlled, controlled, and restricted zones, unified by shaded overhangs and an organic roofscape echoing the valley’s mountain profiles.
SITE PARADOX & OPPORTUNITY The Problem: Existing border crossings suffer from spatial friction, harsh climatic exposure, and disorienting layouts, turning transit into a confusing and high-stress process. The Insight: The site’s valley topography flanked by mountain ridges offers a natural orienting axis. By embedding a linear, climate-responsive architectural spine into the terrain, the border becomes an intuitive, ordered threshold rather than a spatial bottleneck.
Architectural Strategy The design strategy integrates environmental responsiveness with clear functional organization: Linear Spatial Spine: A central axis organizes arrival, security processing, waiting, and exit into a direct, intuitive path that eliminates passenger confusion. Volumetric Hierarchy: Separate architectural masses group distinct programmatic zones— public, semi-controlled, and restricted—ensuring operational efficiency and security control. Integrated Shading & Roofscape: Organic dome structures and extended cantilevered overhangs connect the fragmented volumes, providing continuous shade and thermal protection against the harsh Jordan Valley climate.
A boundary that no longer divides.A threshold designed to welcome. The Damia Border Crossing reimagines the condition of arrival in the Jordan Valley. By replacing confusion with clarity, the project transforms a high-stress transit process into a humane, legible sequence defined by light, shade, and landscape. Emerging from the valley topography, organic forms are shaped by the natural flow of movement and climate, anchoring the terminal firmly within its site. The border becomes not a point of friction, but a dignified architectural threshold—where movement, security, and place converge seamlessly.

03 Crystal Grid Garage : “ Geometric reflections transcending spatial boundaries ”
Concept Statement: Crystal Grid Garage is designed as a transparent architectural enclosure where repetition of illuminated glass modules creates a continuous reflective environment. The design transforms the garage from a functional parking space into a spatial experience that emphasizes clarity, light, and visual depth. Design Philosophy: The project explores the relationship between transparency and perception through the use of a modular glass grid system. By integrating soft frame lighting around each unit, the space becomes visually dynamic, enhancing the presence of the vehicle as the central element within a luminous architectural shell.
