Last Week’s Collection $10,091 Online Giving $525 *Automated Giving $1,036 Total $11,652 Dear parishioners and friends in Christ, I hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep this weekend as we return to Standard time. Please make an effort to arrive at Church on time for Mass. Today we celebrate the Festival of All Saints. Let us call upon their intercession and learn from their example of Gospel living. Thanks to all who participated in the Blood Drive, sponsored by the PTA of Salem Elementary School. We were happy to provide space in our cafeteria for this important community event once again. This Monday we begin the remembrance of all of our dearly departed family and friends in our annual All Souls’ Commemoration. Please use the envelope that was sent in your mailing to enter the names of departed loved ones. Envelopes will remain on the altar throughout the month of November. Additional envelopes are available at the church doors. The names of all those whose funeral rites took place at St. Peter’s in the past year are listed on page 3 of this bulletin. It is a custom to remember the dead at specific Masses throughout the year. Anniversaries, birthdays and days of special significance in a person’s life are customarily reserved in advance and scheduled as listed in the bulletin. We will open the 2027 Parish Mass Book on Thursday, November 12th. Please refer to the notice on page 4 for further details. This Tuesday is Election Day. Remember to cast your vote after giving prayerful consideration of the candidates and the issues. The Parish Party is only 3 weeks away, on Friday, November 20th at the North Hempstead Country Club, and final touches are being made by our dedicated committee. Cocktails begin at 7:00, followed by dinner, dancing, raffles and time spent together renewing old and new friendships. Please plan on joining us! Reservation responses should be returned by November 10th. We are currently at 86% toward achieving our Catholic Ministries Appeal goal for this calendar year. My thanks to all who have made a pledge or a one-time gift to help us reach our goal. If you have not as yet participated in this year’s Annual Appeal, please consider doing so before the end of the year. And remember, “no gift is too small but no gift at all”.
