I was assigned to work with children and teenagers, an experience that warmed my heart throughout the seven- day outreach. Each day, we traveled to a new place, and I realized that our purpose was not only to share our faith but also to listen, understand, and engage with these people. This experience helped me build my confidence and step outside my comfort zone. Although meeting people with different struggles sometimes left me vulnerable to compassion fatigue, my heart remained full as I listened and resonated with their stories.MY COLLEGE TIMELINE This timeline is a compilation of my trainings, conferences, and community outreach services across different provinces in Western Visayas, Philippines, as well as my journey of serving, connecting, transforming, and helping communities through psychological knowledge, faith, and a heart for service. 4

We were given the opportunity to interact with people in one of the remote areas of Janiuay. I remember walking for about 20–35 minutes to reach the area, crossing a river along the way because our transportation could not cross it. It was a meaningful journey as we listened to the people’s stories, connected with them, and shared the Gospel of God.Before our Christmas break in December, our organization visited the town of Tapaz to reach out to communities in the area. This was one of the most challenging outreach experiences I can recall so far. The roads were rocky, the areas were far apart, and the houses were scattered, requiring a lot of physical and emotional strength to carry out our purpose of reaching and serving the communities. However, during this four-day outreach, I realized that there are communities whose needs go beyond faith. They also need access to reliable transportation, mental health support, and many other essential services. This experience made me realize how much I find fulfillment in serving communities like these, and it strengthened my heart and desire to continue serving and helping people. An Invitation Turned into a Meaningful Purpose 5

I was assigned to work with children ages 2– 4, which required a lot of creativity, patience, and preparation to ensure that the activities and presentations were engaging and age-appropriate for preschoolers. This four-day vacation bible school experience taught me the importance of understanding children’s developmental needs and creating a welcoming environment where they could learn, participate, and enjoy the activities. Dumangas District Jail OutreachDuring our December break, our organization visited the Dumangas District Jail to distribute food packs and essential items as part of our outreach ministry. We presented Christmas medleys and held a small-group talk session, where we had the opportunity to speak with the individuals, listen to their stories, and hear their testimonies about their lives. This outreach was one of the most emotional and meaningful experiences throughout my college journey. It strengthened my desire to serve people and pursue a career as a psychology practitioner. More importantly, I realized that there is always a reason behind a person’s behavior, and that understanding their story is an important part of reaching and helping them. 6
