Copyright Policy

Effective 4 November 2026

How to tell us that a flipbook on Flipso infringes your copyright, how the person who uploaded it can respond, and what we do. This policy follows the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).

1. Before you send a notice

Check that the work is yours or that you act for its owner, and that no licence or law, such as fair use, allows the use. If you are not sure, ask a lawyer first.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your notice. We may send a copy of it, with your name and contact details, to the person who uploaded the content.

2. How to send a copyright notice

Use the report form at flipbook.so/report and choose copyright infringement, or email the same information to support@flipbook.so. A notice needs each of the points below.

In the description, the work you say is infringed, or a list of works if there are several.

The link to each flipbook or profile that infringes it, so we can find the material.

Your full name and an email address where we can reach you.

A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.

A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full legal name in the form signs the notice, and its one confirmation box makes both statements above.

We may not act on a notice that misses one of these points.

3. What we do

We are a hosting service, not a party to disputes between rights holders and uploaders, and we do not decide who is right. When we receive a notice, we may remove the content or disable access to it, at our own discretion.

We may send the uploader a copy of the notice. Apart from what the law requires, we have no duty to investigate, to restore content or to explain a decision.

4. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice by replying to our email or writing to support@flipbook.so. A counter-notice needs each of the points below.

The material that was removed and the link where it appeared.

A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified.

Your name, postal address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address or, if you live outside the United States, of any judicial district where Flipso may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.

Your physical or electronic signature.

We may send the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Whether to restore the content is up to us.

5. False notices

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Send a notice or counter-notice only if you know it is true.

6. Repeat infringers

We may close the accounts of people who repeatedly upload content that infringes copyright.

7. Other illegal content in the EU

Under the EU Digital Services Act, anyone can tell us about content they believe is illegal, through the same report form. Explain why it is illegal, give the exact link, your name and email address, and confirm in good faith that the report is accurate and complete.

We may act on a report at our own discretion. Where the EU Digital Services Act applies, we decide in a timely and objective way, tell the person who reported what we decided and give the uploader a statement of reasons, which they can contest by replying to our email.
