Cookie Policy

Needed to run the site

These are always on. Without them you could not stay signed in, and the site would forget your language and country.

__session
Keeps you signed in. Lasts 14 days.

NEXT_LOCALE
Remembers the language the site shows you. Lasts 1 year.

countryCode
Remembers your country, worked out from your IP address, to show the plans and prices that apply to you. Lasts 30 days.

flipso_interest
Remembers the topics of flipbooks you opened from Discover during this visit, so Discover and "More like this" show more like them. It holds topic tags only, no identifier. Deleted when you close your browser.

Analytics

Set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to count visits and show us where the site is hard to use. They are not set in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where both tools measure without cookies.

_ga
Google Analytics. Tells one browser's visits apart from another's. Lasts 2 years.

_ga_<ID>
Google Analytics. Keeps the pages of one visit together. Lasts 2 years.

_clck
Microsoft Clarity. Recognises the same browser on a later visit. Lasts 1 year.

_clsk
Microsoft Clarity. Joins the pages of one visit into one recording. Lasts 1 day.

Storage in your browser

These are not cookies. They stay in your browser until they are cleared.

firebaseLocalStorageDb
Firebase keeps your sign-in here. Cleared when you sign out.

flipso.createDraft
The flipbook you are making, so a reload does not lose it. Cleared when you publish it.

flipso.sessionRefreshedAt
When your sign-in was last renewed. Stays until you clear your browser data.

flipso:purchase_tracked:*
Makes sure a purchase is counted once in analytics. Stays until you clear your browser data.

Storage for one tab

These are not cookies. Your browser deletes them when you close the tab.

unlocked_*, lead_unlocked_*
Flipbooks you opened with a password or a lead form, so a reload does not ask again. Deleted when you close the tab.

flipbook-claim-draft:*
What you typed while saving a flipbook to your account. Deleted when you close the tab.

flippio_prices_v4*
Prices already loaded during this visit. Deleted when you close the tab.

flipso:ownHandle:*
Your own profile address. Deleted when you close the tab.

flipso:profile-visit:*
Counts a visit to a profile only once. Deleted when you close the tab.

flipso:discover-open
The flipbook you just opened from Discover, so reading it counts toward what Discover shows you. Deleted when you close the tab.

How to control them

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking the cookies needed to run the site signs you out and resets your language.

To stop Google Analytics on every site, install Google's opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The payment form is a Paddle frame, and Paddle's own cookie policy covers the cookies it sets there.
