✂Funding Application Submitted for Toilet ImprovementsOur toilets are original to the hall, which opened in 1982, and now need updating. The disabled toilet and baby-changing facilities are currently accessed through the ladies’ toilets, which isn’t practical or inclusive.COMMUNITY NEWSWe’ve applied for funding to make the facilities more accessible and welcoming. Supportive comments from our community can strengthen our application, so thank you to everyone who commented on our Facebook post. We will keep you updated and hope to share good news soon. Witches, Vampires and a Very Good Night! Halloween WalkWitches, ghosts and a host of colourful, costumed children took part in our annual Halloween Walk along Barroway Drove!Also a big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped organise this annual event. It’s lovely to see our village coming together to create such a fun Halloween experience for our younger residents.WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENINGThe children weren't the only ones having Halloween fun! The grown-ups took over with a great turnout for a spooky-themed Pub Night, and it seems a few of our villagers were barely recognisable beneath their Halloween disguises!With some brilliant costumes, plenty of laughs and a prize for Best Costume awarded to Athena Elsey, aged 4, it was a night to remember. Who knew our village had so many spooky characters lurking about? 👻Accompanied by parents, grandparents and guardians, they set off in search of the wonderfully decorated houses and, of course, plenty of treats!A huge thank you to everyone who decorated their houses and helped make the walk so special for the children.Thankfully, Palmers Fish and Chip van was on hand to satisfy the hungry witches, vampires and assorted creatures of the night.
