HISTORY OF WARKARI CULTURE Wari of Pandharpur is self-print of Maharashtrian culture. It has been kept intact in the heart of every Marathi folk for the last generation. It denies any kind of discrimination and has a decided destination human to human via love. It is not just a tradition celebrated from saint Dnyaneshwar, who asked Favor of global fraternity, to saint Tukaram. Wari is not just practice. It is celebration of love for devotion. It is worship for satisfaction for the grey coloured ascetic war Karis. Beyond any discrimination, it is chord that connect human to human and all to god Vitthal. Pandharpur is the most popular pilgrimage city on the banks of the Bhima river in Solapur, Maharashtra. The Vithoba temple attracts lakhs of Hindu pilgrims during the major yatra in the month of Ashadh. Pandharpur hosts four annual yatras of Hindu devotees. Among them, the pilgrimage in the month of Asadh attracts the greatest number of people. The others happen in Karthik, Shravan and Magha. The palkhi is a socio-economic gathering of people starting from about 2000-3000 people from Alandi to 2-5 lakh people midway and around 6- 7 lakh people till Pandharpur. It consists of Warkaris, followers of lord Vithoba. WHAT IS WARI ? Wari means regular visiting of particular (religious) place. The person who goes on this type of vari pilgrimage of pilgrim Pandharpur is called a Varkari (the follower of the pilgrimage). FOOTFALL GATHER FROM ALL OVER MAHARASHTRA 1. Chaitra Ekadashi - 3-4 lakhs 2. Ashadhi Ekadashi - 10-12 lakhs 3. Kartiki Ekadashi - 6-8 lakhs 4. Magha Ekadashi - 2-4 lakhs 5. Monthly Ekadashi - 1 lakh This thesis aims to respond to scenario of pilgrimage by providing facilities and shelter. The pilgrimage viewed as potential by economic, social and cultural perspective. SYNOPSIS The Sensitivity required in developing the entire campus while still retaining the inherent quality and essence of the event is major concern. strong need to understand issues and physical planning and infrastructure. CONCLUSION AGRICULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE The Vari pilgrimage is deeply entwined with the agricultural community in India. Devotees embark on this pilgrimage with a heartfelt prayer to Pandurang for the fertility of their land and a prosperous crop yield. This pilgrimage, therefore, embodies a unique connection to the economic and natural cycles of life. DESIGN PROPOSAL In order to maintain and enhance the culture of Warkari sampradaya. In consideration of New Urban Lifestyle with the way live that in their rural life style. Promoting the culture and good infrastructure to city as well as project. This project will focus on Creation and promoting the Pious Centre - A Pilgrims Hub for a Pandharpur Tirthakshetra. A "pious center" refers to a place of great religious or spiritual significance. FEATURES OF GREEN BUILDING GREEN ARCHITECTURE A Green building, also known as a sustainable or eco-friendly building, is a structure designed and constructed with a focus on minimising its environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.Green building is a resource-efficient construction and development approach that considers environmental impact and human health. in green building projects, Sustainability is incorporated throughout the building’s lifecycle, from planning to demolition. • Lowering building operating costs and utility bills through reduced energy consumption and water use. • Enhancing public health, quality of life and productivity through more comfortable and healthier indoor environments. • Helping developers and building owners meet environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards. • Increasing the likelihood of buildings becoming high-performing assets, with green buildings often achieving higher market value than comparable structures. • WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING KEY BENEFITS • ENERGY EFFICIENCY • RESOURCE CONSERVATION • IMPROVED INDOOR QUALITY • REDUCED OPERATING COST • ENHANCED OCCUPANT WELL- BEING • COMMUNITY BENIFITS • One of the most overlooked benefits is how green buildings improve the well-being of the people who use them. • With cleaner air, more natural light and fewer toxic materials, occupants feel healthier and are more productive. Studies even show that people working in green commercial buildings tend to have higher job satisfaction and even fewer sick days. • It’s true, the upfront cost of a sustainable building might be a bit higher. • However, the long-term savings more than make up for the initial investment. Why? With an emphasis on energy efficiency, these resource efficient buildings cost far less to run. ECONOMICAL BENEFITS IMPORTANCE OF GREEN BUILDING HEALTH AND PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVE INSULATION PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTATS ENERGY-EFFICIENT LIGHTING WASTE MANAGEMENT Effective waste management is a cornerstone of sustainable building. Energy-efficient lighting, like LEDs, has become a staple in almost all green buildings that traditional bulbs use and also last much longer, making them both eco- friendly and cost-effective. They also generate less heat, which means there’s less strain on cooling systems. Programmable thermostats are a simple yet highly effective way to improve energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality. Good insulation is a core piece of energy- efficient buildings. It reduces heat transfer which lowers the need for excessive heating or cooling. Harnessing solar and geothermal energy is a game- changer for reducing reliance on traditional, non- renewable power sources and creating net zero energy buildings. IMPROVE INSULATION
