SERVING THE CHURCHI worked in Peru for many years and later became a bishop.🇵🇪I spentmanyyearsservingthechurchand the Augustinian Order.🙏2014 I was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Chiclayo,Peru and became a bishop later that year.⛪

On 8 May 2025 I was elected Pope.I chose the name Leo XIV.I became the 267th Pope of the Catholic Church and the first Pope from the United States.I am also the first Augustinian Pope.Becoming Pope Leo XIV
