Monaghan Place BrandAs part of Monaghan County Council's commitment to strengthening the county's identity and profile, a new Place Brand for County Monaghan will be launched in the coming weeks. This will be the lead brand initiative, helping to promote Monaghan consistently to residents, visitors, businesses and investors, while also informing and aligning with the Council's corporate branding and communications. We are currently in a testing and soft-launch phase and are excited to begin sharing elements of the new brand with staff. We look forward to unveiling the full brand and the opportunities it will create to tell Monaghan's story in a more compelling and coordinated way. To support the rollout, Brand Champions will be appointed across departments, staff training will be provided, and comprehensive brand guidelines will be introduced. In the meantime, if you are developing any long-term publications, signage, campaigns or other materials, please contact the Communications Team before proceeding to ensure they align with the emerging brand framework. Cyber Security Update – Register Microsoft Authenticator Microsoft is changing how Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) works Microsoft is moving away from SMS text messages and voice calls as authentication methods, as these are no longer considered sufficiently secure. To prepare for this change, staff are being asked to ensure that Microsoft Authenticator is registered on their account. What do I need to do? Visit mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info on your computer and check your registered sign-in methods. If Microsoft Authenticator is already listed, no action is required. If it is not listed, select Add sign-in method → Microsoft Authenticator and follow the on-screen instructions to install the app on your phone and scan the QR code shown on your computer. Registering Authenticator now will help ensure continued access to services that require MFA, including remote access, as older SMS and voice methods are phased out. You may also see a Microsoft prompt asking you to register Authenticator when signing in over the coming weeks. Need help? Log a ticket with the Service Desk. Cyber Security
