Rather than replacing existing public buildings, the project introduces a network of small civic structures and parasitic interventions that extend their functions into the city. “preserving urban memory, shaping the future.” Urban Archive bridges past and present by preserving cultural memory and making it accessible to the community. Combining archive and library functions, the project creates an active public ground floor while maintaining quiet and privacy in reading areas. Its sustainable design uses performance-informed parametric models to optimize massing, natural daylight, façade performance, and a solar-panelled roof. urban archive

Ground-level volumes are lifted to preserve public continuity and integrate with the landscape. Three entrances follow major axes, including one connecting to the historic building. Quiet library functions rise gradually along the site’s calmer edge. The mass follows key movement axes, extending the surrounding public flow into the site. A modular grid organizes the volumes, balancing public, cultural, and private library functions. Nexus of Culture reactivates Menemen’s pottery heritage by bringing traditional craftsmanship into the everyday life of the city. Located at Menemen Cumhuriyet Square, the project transforms local clay culture into a public experience through spaces for making, learning, exhibiting, and storytelling. Daily routines often narrow our awareness of the surrounding environment. Located in Gödence, Narrative Passage proposes a spatial journey that redirects attention toward nature, sensory experience and creative thought. Existing village paths extend into the site, where architecture follows the topography and engages with the landscape. The village’s existing paths, built fabric, vegetation and topography establish the spatial framework of the site. Existing routes are extended into the site, connecting the village’s circulation network with new paths of exploration and encounter. Selected alternatives were further detailed with door and window frames, roof components, gutters and material assignments, preparing the models for visualisation. I also contributed to the building’s integration with the sloping terrain. This involved developing landscape arrangements, studying retaining-wall heights, incorporating a parking area and organising access from the main road while responding to changes in ground level.For the preliminary permit approval stage, I prepared the site layout, floor and roof plans, two sections, all elevations and a 1:20 construction section.

I modelled the sloping site, roads and neighbouring buildings using survey data, then refined the selected proposal with door and window frames, roof details and material assignments. I also prepared the floor plan and two sections, documenting level relationships, floor thicknesses and internal heights while checking consistency with the model. Contribution — I completed the building model in SketchUp, incorporating the office’s existing roof model and working from architectural plans and sections. I also modelled the terrain, access routes and neighbouring buildings using survey data, site photographs and Street View references. Following adjustments to the site arrangement, I updated the relevant elevations in AutoCAD and organised the model into material groups for visualisation in Lumion.

I documented the façade geometry and architectural elements in material- specific CAD layers, adding annotations for material types, deterioration and levels.
