Hexagora - Government Responders and Trading Cluster Location: Consolacion, Cebu
Hexagora combines “HEXAGON” and “AGORA” (in ancient Greece) a public open space used for assemblies and markets. Symbolizing 6 key government agencies and local commerce.design concept Sarok is a brown, eco-friendly hat, made from natural materials. It features a wide, flat circular brim that slopes upward to a pointed conical top, constructed from bamboo strips and dried bananas. A standard "sarok" can shield the face, neck, and part of the shoulders, enabling the wearer to work outdoors for extended periods by providing protection from rain or sunlight.The Sarok hat inspires the design's roof levels, which provide shelter and protection, while creating shade and improving air circulation for comfort.The design promotes collaborative use of both commercial, industrial, and institutional spaces, creating a unified, adaptable space for the community to thrive.The hexagonal form fosters a sense of unity and connection, encouraging collaboration. By combining traditional forms with modern materials, the facilities create a flexible and sustainable environment that meets the community's needs while reflecting local culture.
