Healthcare Center Shams Children’s Cancer Recovery Center Graduation Project Designing for Hope: “For Our Little Superheroes”. Dead Sea, Jordan 2025 Software Used: Sketchup Revit Lumion Enscape Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Shams KHCCC is a pioneering healthcare facility located on the serene shores of the Dead Sea, Jordan. Designed as an end-of-cancer-journey care center, it offers a tranquil environment where children with cancer can transition from initial treatments to complete their therapy and recovery. The facility emphasizes a holistic approach, integrating medical care with emotional and psychological healing to support the well-being of young patients and their families. Project Description Page 5

Page 7 The form begins with an organic geometry, inspired by the idea that soft, natural shapes can contribute to a calmer and more supportive healing environment for cancer patients. Guided by the concept of the Hero’s Journey, the mass is divided into horizontal layers that gradually rotate and shift, creating movement, depth, and dynamic cantilevers. Finally, openings and façade elements introduce light, views, and transparency while preserving the building’s strong layered identity. The design breaks the hospital mass into layered terraces, transparent volumes, and planted spaces, bringing daylight, greenery, and openness into the building. This creates a contemporary healing environment that balances medical efficiency with comfort, clarity, and connection to nature. Project Description Page 27

The hospital massing begins as a single compact volume, representing the project as one unified healthcare system. The form is then divided into three equal blocks to create a clearer organization of the hospital’s main functions. These volumes are gradually shifted in response to the site, forming a more dynamic composition while improving access, orientation, daylight, and views. The resulting arrangement also creates spaces between the masses for landscaping and outdoor areas, giving the hospital a more open and human-scaled character. 1 2 3 Figure 16: Concept Design Process & Front View Realistic Rendered Shot Project 4: Khalda Specialty Hospital Concept & Front facade Page 28

The project aims to make everyday circulation and shared spaces part of the living experience, strengthening connection and a sense of belonging among students.

1 2 3 4 Project 5: HTU Dorm Concept & Form Generation Figure 23: Concept design process diagram. Page 38 5The concept of the HTU Dorm begins with a single large mass carved by a central walkthrough, dividing the building into two connected masses and guiding movement toward a circular core that acts as the main destination for gathering, connection, and orientation. As the mass opens and steps back, façade clusters and planted terraces are formed, allowing the building to overlook the walkthrough and creating a strong relationship between circulation, shared spaces, and greenery. The design transforms movement through the project into an architectural experience, making the journey itself part of student interaction and community.

Project 5: HTU Dorm Technical drawinsg Figure 24: Floor plans showing the grids, as this project has three grid styles Page 39UPUPUPUP6-0.80-1.00-1.00-1.00-1.00-1.007854321A BCD GVSNQPROTHUIJKM16151413121110 The plans of the HTU Dorm are organized around a flexible structural approach, where each mass follows its own column grid and structural system. This independence allows the building to break into multiple clusters, creating a more dynamic composition of rooms, terraces, and balconies for students. Many of these elements are designed as cantilevered masses, extending beyond the main structure to form private and shared outdoor spaces while giving the façades depth and variation. The overall layout supports both efficient residential planning and a strong connection between student rooms, circulation, and the central walkthrough.

Project 5: HTU Dorm Close Up Shot Figure 27: Close up detailed render view Page 42 This close-up highlights the residential character of the HTU Dorm, where staggered masses, cantilevered balconies, and planted terraces create a dynamic façade while giving students access to private and shared outdoor spaces. The stepped composition brings greenery throughout the building and allows rooms and terraces to overlook the central walkthrough, strengthening the visual connection between students and communal areas. The circular glazed core acts as a clear vertical landmark, linking the different levels and reinforcing the project’s concept of movement, interaction, and community.

Figure 28: Exterior Outdoor Views Page 43 Project 5: HTU Dorm Outdoor Spaces The central walkthrough is designed as the social heart of the HTU Dorm, transforming circulation into a continuous outdoor experience rather than simply a route between rooms. Landscaped seating areas, planted edges, balconies, and terraces create multiple layers of interaction, allowing students to meet, pause, study, or observe activity from different levels before reaching their private residences. The surrounding clustered masses frame the walkthrough and maintain a constant visual connection between rooms, shared terraces, and the ground-level landscape, while the circular glazed core acts as a clear destination at the end of the journey. Together, these elements create an active, welcoming environment that encourages spontaneous encounters and strengthens the sense of community within the dorm.

Military Base Beehive Military Airport Individual Design 3 Beehive Military Aiport يﺮﻜﺴﻌﻟا ﺔﻴﻠﺨﻟا رﺎﻄﻣ Irbid, Jordan 2022 Software Used: Revit Autocad Enscape Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Page 45 Project Description Located in Irbid, Jordan, this project proposes a dedicated military airport to serve northern Jordan and strengthen the region’s aviation and defense infrastructure. The airport is designed to support military personnel, operational movement, and essential airport functions within a clear and efficient terminal layout. Its location responds to the need for a specialized military aviation facility in the north, reducing dependence on airports farther south and providing more direct access to Irbid and the surrounding region.

Project 6: Beehive Military Airport Concept Figure 29: Concept formation diagram, Exterior shot Page 46 this airport project is inspired by the geometry and organization of a beehive, translating the efficiency, unity, and coordinated movement of bees into a modular architectural form. The design is composed of interconnected hexagonal volumes that organize the terminal into clear functional zones while creating a strong visual identity. The concept also reflects the discipline and collective behavior of military personnel, where each unit works independently yet contributes to a larger system. A perforated hexagonal façade reinforces the beehive language while filtering light and adding depth, resulting in a terminal that combines symbolism, functionality, and a distinctive architectural character.

Project 6: Beehive Military Airport Technical Detail Figure 31: Perforated sheets detail, and colors Page 48 The façade system uses perforated hexagonal aluminum panels mounted on a secondary metal substructure fixed to the main concrete wall. Adjustable brackets create a ventilated cavity between the panels and the building envelope, allowing airflow while supporting thermal insulation and protecting the façade from direct solar exposure. The perforations filter harsh sunlight, reduce heat gain, and create changing patterns of light and shadow, while the varied earthy finishes give the system a distinctive identity inspired by the surrounding desert landscape.

Project 6: Beehive Military Airport Facade Design Figure 32: Facade Design, and Elevation Rendered Shot Page 49 The façade is developed as a double-skin system of perforated hexagonal panels, giving the airport a strong architectural identity while improving its environmental performance in the hot, dry climate of northern Jordan. The outer layer acts as a protective screen that reduces direct solar radiation and heat gain, while the perforations allow controlled daylight and natural airflow to reach the glazed surfaces behind. Different panel depths, perforation densities, and earthy tones create a layered composition inspired by the colors of the surrounding landscape, adding texture and visual movement across the long elevations. The modular hexagonal system also allows the façade to respond differently to orientation and solar exposure, with denser panels used where greater shading is required. By combining shading, ventilation, filtered light, and a distinctive material language, the façade becomes both a functional climatic response and a defining visual element of the airport.

Natural wood finishes, light cabinetry, open shelving, textured pendant lights, and subtle black accents give the space a relaxed handcrafted character, while the arched forms, earthy finishes, and rustic details introduce the Spanish influence requested by the client. The result is a functional, bright kitchen that feels warm, natural, and contemporary while still carrying a subtle Mediterranean character.

Textured stone and porcelain surfaces provide durability and a clean base, while wood slats and veneer add warmth and contrast. A palette of stone beige, sand, taupe, greige, and off-white keeps the space soft and cohesive, complemented by simple contemporary fixtures, greenery, and minimal accessories for a balanced natural, modern, and relaxing bathroom design.
