Kahanigari a company of luxury handicraft reimagined. The name is derived from two words Kahani that means Story and Karigari that means craftsmanship. We do not sell products, we sell the story behind it. You wear a story, a heritage piece that we create to preserve for generations.

Indian Accessories Reimagined is a creative fashion photoshoot that explores traditional Indian accessories beyond their conventional purpose, placement, and styling. Rooted in India's rích culture of ornamentation, the concept takes familiar objects such as bangles, anklets, nose rings, necklaces, kamarbandhs, hair ornaments, and handcrafted jewellery and transforms them into unexpected elements of contemporary fashion imagery. Concept

Kahanigari transforms traditional Indian craftsmanship into contemporary luxury, preserving the story of the hands, culture, and heritage behind every creation. The brand primarily celebrates authentic Indian handmade products, while giving traditional crafts a more contemporary, premium presentation suitable for both Indian and international audiences. IDENTITY

India worn by handThe collection explores different forms of hand accessories—cuffs, bangles, bracelets, hand harnesses and other experimental adornments —by incorporating textiles and textile crafts from different regions of India. Traditional fabrics, embroidery, weaving, prints and surface techniques are taken beyond their conventional use in garments and transformed into contemporary accessories.

The golden handcrafted motif painted directly onto the body becomes the focal point of the concept. It suggests that craft is more than an object we purchase or display. It becomes part of one's identity. The traditional jewellery further represents the skill of Indian artisans, while the intense red and gold palette communicates heritage, celebration, richness and luxury. The partially illuminated face emerging from the dark background creates a sense of mystery, as though a forgotten story is gradually being revealed. This connects directly with Kahanigari's philosophy of storytelling through craftsmanship: every motif, material, ornament and technique carries the memory of the people and places that created it.CRAFTED IDENTITY

The motive of Kahanigari is to preserve Indian handicrafts while reimagining them for contemporary lifestyles. It aims to take traditional textiles, embroidery, jewellery making and regional craft techniques beyond their conventional forms and transform them into modern, wearable pieces with a luxury identity. Kahanigari believes that every handmade object carries a kahani , a story of its artisan, region, technique and culture. Instead of allowing these stories to fade, the brand gives them a new platform and a new generation of consumers. For the hand accessory collection specifically, the motive is: “To bring the diverse textile stories of India into the hands of a new generation preserving traditional craftsmanship through contemporary adornment.”mOTIVE

Kahanigari ultimately transforms India’s diverse craft and textile traditions into products that can become part of contemporary everyday life. The collection reimagines regional textiles, embroidery and handcrafted details as statement cuffs, bracelets, bangles and other hand accessories, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern forms. Each product is not merely an accessory, but a wearable piece of heritage that carries the story of its craft, region and maker— making Indian handicrafts relevant, desirable and meaningful for a new generation.Contemprory
