INCIDENT NO.: 004 SUBJECT: Ayesha REPORTING OFFICER: The person who should probably know better CLASSIFICATION: Highly Personal STATUS: Unresolved INCIDENT SUMMARY: The incident occurred somewhere between “I barely know her” and “why do I remember every tiny thing about her?” At first, there appeared to be nothing unusual. She was simply there—talking, laughing, existing in her own little way. I did not consider the situation significant at the time. That assessment was incorrect. Over time, evidence began accumulating. I started remembering the things she said without trying to. I noticed the expressions she made when she thought nobody was looking. I began associating certain songs, places, jokes and completely ordinary moments with her. Somehow, even the most forgettable days developed a habit of becoming memories. Multiple attempts were made to act normal. All attempts failed. EVIDENCE RECOVERED: E-01: Conversations I still remember word for word. E-02: Photographs I took without realizing they would become important. E-03: Inside jokes that stopped making sense to everyone else. E-04: Random moments that I somehow decided were worth keeping. E-05: The increasingly obvious fact that she had become one of my favourite parts of my life. WITNESS STATEMENT: “I don't think there was one particular moment when she became important. I think it happened quietly, somewhere between all the little moments I wasn't paying attention to.” FINAL ASSESSMENT: After reviewing all available evidence, I have reached one unavoidable conclusion: Ayesha was never the incident. She was the reason I started keeping the evidence. CASE STATUS: PERMANENTLY OPEN.INCIDENT REPORT#B09
