There was once a monkey named Almonsabthan. He was a very shy monkey that had no friends. One day, his parents find a flyer about an international competition that showcases different kinds of talents. They tell Almonsabthan about the competition, but he resists. He knows he has bad anxiety, so he cannot perform in front of a big crowd. Bamas and Monex encouraged him again and again until the day of the performance. They asked him 1 final time, he couldn’t resist and gave in. However, Bamas and Monex told him that they could not come. Little did he know, last night they had planned to surprise him. They told him they couldn’t come, so he can face his fear “by himself”.
The morning of the competition, Bamas and Monix leaves early to get to the venue first. The Jungle had many obstacles, so it took a long time before they can even reach halfway to the venue. Suddenly, Monix loses grip and lets go of the branches. After she plummeted to the ground, Bamas lets go of the branches to make sure she’s okay. The ground shakes. Bamas and Monix looks behind them to see 4 big elephants rushing towards them. They get run over and died in that fatal accident. Almonsabthan travels after an hour of getting ready. While climbing the trees to the venue, Almonsabthan sees his parents dead, smushed to the ground with elephant footprints as evidence. Almonsabthan cries and decides to win the tournament and face his fear in honor of his parents and for his country.
Almonsabthan arrives at the venue, still upset about what happened. He was late, 8 people had already performed.When Almonsabthan’s turn was near, he recieves a message from his rival, brought to him by a little bird. He opened the message and found offensive stuff, discouraging him to perform. Suddenly, his rival, Brawramenday comes back after performing. She tells him to not perform anymore because no one will watch his performance anyways because his parents are gone. Almonsabthan experiences an anxiety attack, having anger towards Brawramenday. Almonsabthan really wants to win this competition in honor of his parents. During the awarding, Almonsabthan finds out he only wins 2nd place. He felt angry and sad, as if he had just lost everything. He goes home and cries himself to sleep because he failed the tournament and his parents. He thought of his parents, if they were to be alive right now, they would still support Almonsabthan even if he lost the competition.
A few weeks after the major music festival, the penguin judges revealed in a surprise letter that Brawramenday had been caught lying to everyone by lip syncing to a secret tape, and Almonsabthan was proclaimed the true golden-voice champion! The opportunity to participate in another significant musical event, which was only one week away, thrilled the young monkey so much that it leaped at the chance. This time, his anxious and afraid stage fright was replaced by a superpower of determination. He won first place once more and was crowned the ultimate singing king of the canopy when he swung onto the main stage, grabbed the microphone, and let loose a lovely melody that reverberated through the treetops!
