With a stronger organizational foundation and the addition of our third full-time team member, we were able to partner more intentionally with individuals, companies, and organizations. These collaborations have become increasingly diverse, each bringing a unique and meaningful impact to children of different ages and needs. Working alongside inspiring role models and partners, who offer fresh perspectives, new ideas, and motivations, has been deeply encouraging not only for the children we support, but also for Mirai no Mori as an organization. Our commitment to collaboration is not only about forming new partnerships with like-minded people, but also about strengthening those with communities already connected with us. This year, we deepened our relationships with care homes, explored new ways to engage graduates in meaningful projects, and empowered camp volunteers to grow into new roles and responsibilities. And internally, Mirai no Mori’s growing team worked to build the organizational capacity needed to maintain this progress. Together, we launched the Care Home Liaison Project to better meet the needs of the care homes we serve and we updated our Safeguarding Policy to ensure we are aligned with global best practices. With this momentum and the strength of our ever-growing community, the Mirai no Mori team is ready to embrace another year filled with new projects, new possibilities, and new dreams. We are deeply grateful for your continued support and look forward to building an even brighter future together. CHILDREN'S CARE HOMES AND THE CHILDREN Children’s care homes are facilities that house children aged one to eighteen who cannot live with their parents or whose families cannot raise them adequately. There are various reasons children are admitted to these homes, including parents passing away, divorcing, falling ill, and economic hardship. Admissions due to abuse have increased in recent years, and it is reported that over half of children in care homes have experienced abuse in the past. In 2025, collaboration with care workers reached new depths through the launch of the Care Home Liaison Project, led by our new project manager, a former care worker with 20 years of experience in the sector. This initiative was created to build stronger, more personal connections with care homes by understanding their specific needs, and how Mirai no Mori can best support both the children and their care workers who play a key role in supporting their transition to independence. As a part of this project, we hosted in-person, pre-camp information sessions at each of the nine participating care homes, offering practical guidance on what to expect, how to prepare, and how to support children during the program. These sessions strengthened trust and communication, ensuring that care workers could join the camp with more confidence and enthusiasm. These one-day weekend programs are also a space where care workers can step away from their demanding daily routines and experience the same learning opportunities that the children do. Recognizing the essential role care workers play in the children’s growth, we intentionally design these programs to include them as active participants. Care workers are encouraged to enjoy the activities for themselves, re-energize, and see the children in a different light, beyond their daily responsibilities. Our aim is to create shared experiences that strengthen the relationship between care workers and children, helping them return to their care homes with renewed motivation and a deeper understanding of each child’s potential. 14 Mirai no Mori 2025 Annual Report: COLLABORATIONS THAT SHAPED OUR IMPACT 15 The motivation to continue and deepen Robert Half’s partnership with Mirai no Mori comes from two places: the tangible difference we can see in the lives of the children Mirai no Mori helps, and the genuine enthusiasm from our employees who participate. Many comment on gaining new perspectives, both on the challenges these young people face and their resilience. Some have mentioned it’s one of the most meaningful things they’ve done through the company What makes Mirai no Mori so special is its mindset: the depth of heart to embrace everything, creating spaces for everyone to enjoy together, anytime, anywhere, without leaving a single person behind. At first, some of our staff were a bit overwhelmed by the Mirai no Mori staff’s high level of talent and cheerful demeanor. Yet, after understanding that the staff were focused on easing campers’ nerves and creating a high-quality program experience, our team increased their enthusiasm level and became highly engaged. Collaborations That Shaped Our Impact Mitake Race Rafting Mirai no Mori’s programs are built on creating environments that feel safe and joyful, while still encouraging everyone to step outside their comfort zones. When partners embrace this mindset, we are able to foster higher engagement, stronger teamwork, and more impactful shared experiences for the children we serve. And participating organizations take that energy back to their day to day work as well. Collaborating with Mirai no Mori allows companies to engage directly with the impact they help create. By participating in programs and charity events, employees experience our impact firsthand, while the children benefit from being encouraged and supported by adults outside their everyday circles. In 2025, Mirai no Mori worked alongside companies and organizations from different industries, each contributing in their own way to the growth of marginalized children in Japan. These collaborations took many forms, from hands-on program participation and shared outdoor experiences to internships and long-term engagement, creating value for both youth and partner teams. 16 Mirai no Mori 2025 Annual Report: COLLABORATIONS THAT SHAPED OUR IMPACT By welcoming a Mirai no Mori graduate as an intern, Walk Japan wanted to provide the younger generation with an opportunity to experience an actual workplace and confirm their own interests and strengths. We believe the value lies in gaining an understanding of concrete workflows and a sense of responsibility that cannot be gained through academic studies alone. The unique perspective of a Mirai no Mori graduate also brought new insights to our work, making it a mutually beneficial experience for both parties When Wild Tame first learned about Mirai no Mori, we saw a great opportunity to give back to the community using the skills we have as a creative agency. Over time, our motivation has deepened. Seeing children who have been through the Mirai no Mori program grow into confident, generous young adults is incredibly moving. The children’s desire to support others and contribute positively to society shows the lasting impact of Mirai no Mori’s work With IHG’s continued growth momentum in Japan and our nationwide reach, we were looking to build on our existing community efforts and keen to find a partner that matched our scale and presence. That’s where our partnership with Mirai no Mori began. Being a force for good is in our DNA at IHG, with 97% of colleagues saying that community activities make them feel more connected to IHG’s purpose of True Hospitality For Good. We will continue to strengthen and scale up our partnership to make a positive difference in the places in which we operate. Being a force for good(善の⼒ となること)が私たちのDNAの⼀部であり、社員の 97%が、社会貢献活動を通じてIHGのパーパスであ る True Hospitality For Good (真のホスピタリティ) と のつながりをより強く感じていると回答していま す。 Mirai no Mori collaborates with partners through pro bono engagements, strengthening our impact through professional expertise. The power of consistency is clearly evident: the children are very familiar with the Mirai no Mori staff, and behave naturally and authentically. I believe that steadily building these joyful memories becomes essential nourishment for their growth The most rewarding part of being super staff is the fulfillment of watching my presence and actions have a drastically positive impact on the campers, and additionally, even though I’ll never fully be able to comprehend just how deep their emotional turmoil is within, I can use my own experiences and personality to slowly help mold their life away from pain and toward a happier present. “The time and activities in nature, which cannot be experienced in daily life, gave great stimulation to the children. Even those who usually struggle to express their ideas could take on the challenges at Mirai no Mori. Above all, I felt grateful that people outside the care homes truly cared for our children and created such experiences. They were given opportunities that we care workers could never provide. Sharing the same activities at the same level was a lot of fun. It’s surprising just how much someone can grow in just a few days if you believe in them and support them. Throughout the camp, each camper has their own struggles that they may face, and we have the privilege of getting to watch them work through it and grow. As a third-time rider of the KIWL Charity ride, the real highlight each year is witnessing the progress Mirai no Mori program graduates have made as they enter adult society- from very difficult upbringings to now having such confidence, determination and focus to achieve their goals. It's a real testament to the long-term, focused work Mirai no Mori does to provide opportunities to not only children, but continuing to support them as they enter adult life. BELIEVE in the potential of every child, even when they may not yet believe in themselves. We help children build confidence through self reflection, discovering their ability to create a brighter future for themselves. EMBRACE differences and celebrate the growth that comes from new challenges. We create unique experiences and opportunities for learning, allowing children to rediscover themselves in new environments and work collaboratively toward shared goals. EMPOWER children to be themselves, face challenges, and grow. We create a space where, even when setbacks occur, they know they have the chance to come back, try again, and become stronger, unlocking their full potential. KIWL VOLUNTEER GIRLS BOYS CAMP STAFF SINCE 2022 CAREWORKER CAREWORKER CAMP STAFF SINCE 2024 私たちはともに TOGETHER WE 1,02 0 4,31 8 キャンパー男⼥⽐ 学年別キャンパー率 これまで プ ログラムに 参 加した 延べ⼦ども数 プログラムに参加した延べ引率職員数
