From the EditorEditor I like imagining worlds that don’t exist but somehow feel possible — imagined utopian and surreal worlds with their own atmosphere, something impossible yet believable. Sometimes I know exactly what I want to draw. Other times, I just start and let the drawing evolve. For my A2-sized drawings, Cosmos, 1969 and Aeropolis, 2169, I explored the idea of retro-futurism, imagining two different versions of a utopian world. 🌌 As for my own sketching, I actually feel less pressure when drawing on used paper. I guess blank-page anxiety is real, because using old or used pages gives me more freedom to experiment. Sudoku pages are especially fun because their grids already provide a little framework, which somehow makes drawing easier. But the main thing is this: every page feels like a movie, like a glimpse into a different story. 🎬 Editor-in-Chief 01 Sketches
