“We had a woman attend for the first time in July. She had always wanted to attend in the past but due to her job and the needs of older family members who she helped care for, she couldn't. Now she is retired and is making her relationship with Jesus the priority. She said the Gathering was exactly what she needed. She lost one of her siblings this year, so Mary Jo's testimony of grieving her dad hit her hard, but right.” “So many women moved by their experience. There were many tears . . .” “There have been many moments in my life that the call to Reconciliation was so great. I've never thought this to be a mountaintop moment, rather a valley for my failures/shortcomings. However, viewing it through that lens sparked an "aha" moment for me during this month's Gathering. I realized that Reconciliation isn't just about forgiveness—it is an encounter with God that changes us. Looking back, I can now see that each call to Reconciliation was a sacred moment where God was revealing more of Himself and drawing me into deeper communion with Him, to be transformed by His grace and descend the mountain with a renewed heart, ready to love as He loves.” “One of our younger attendees approached me after Adoration to ask about starting a Mosaic group with her mom and several friends.” w w w. Most energizing/exciting part of your job? I love it when we can feel the Holy Spirit breathe into us as we discern ideas. We saw this first-hand when we brainstormed the theme of this year’s Conference. While we all came in with different ideas about how our theme could honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, ENFLAME became the obvious choice very quickly. Then we found the quote by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, and we knew it was exactly what God wanted all of the attendees to hear.
