NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.1 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: June 27, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The National Services Training Program (NSTP) prepares students like us for the real world by giving significance to serving others and being responsible as citizens. Through volunteer work and community service, it broadens our understanding of many challenges people can encounter and it can even motivate us to assist in meaningful ways. Learning about the history and regulations of NSTP has made me realize that it was established not just to enhance our skills but also reinforce our civic responsibility. It also made me realize that a good citizen goes beyond more than just following rules. It also means showing compassion, collaborating with others, and taking accountability for enhancing our community. The laws behind NSTP emphasize that every student has a role in nation-building, no matter how small their contribution may seem. I believe that NSTP is important because it inspires young people to become active members of society who are willing to contribute to the well-being of their own communities. Which is why I look forward to gaining more knowledge, developing skills that would be valuable, and becoming more confident and eager in serving and helping others. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO.3 NAME: GUINA, JHANNICE IANNHA B. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 2, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Last Saturday’s discussion helped me better understand the importance of knowing myself and my role as a Filipino. I realized that being a Filipino is not just about living in the Philippines, but also about understanding my responsibilities and finding ways to contribute to my community and country. One realization I had was that I should participate in elections because every vote matters and can help shape the future of our nation. I also reflected on how, even though I am a Filipino citizen, I have not really contributed much to my community or society. This made me realize that I still have a lot to improve before I can truly consider myself a responsible Filipino citizen. I learned a lot from what our professor discussed last Saturday, and it encouraged me to become more aware of my responsibilities and start making positive contributions, even through small actions. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 4, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Today, our group presented a role play about leadership and what it means to be a good leader. Through our presentation, we showed that a true leader is someone who listens, respects others, and thinks about the good of everyone instead of only making decisions for themselves. We also shared that our role models don’t have to be famous because even ordinary people, like our parents, can inspire us through their responsibility and kindness. While performing, I realized that leadership is not about having power but about serving and setting a good example for others. This activity made me reflect on how I can become a better leader in my own way. Even as a student, I can practice listening to others, working well with my classmates, and helping whenever I can. I also want to be remembered as someone who made a positive impact on other people’s lives, not because I held a leadership position, but because I treated others with respect and was willing to help. Overall, our role play reminded me that anyone can be a leader as long as they lead with humility, responsibility, and compassion. From what they shared, I understood that NSTP is important because it helps students become responsible Filipino citizens by promoting service, leadership, integrity, and concern for the community. Even though I was not able to participate in the discussion, I learned that being a good citizen means contributing positively to society through small but meaningful actions, and I will apply these values in my daily life and future community involvement. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: JULY 29, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: To learn more about the development plan on our barangay, I visited the barangay on Wednesday July 29 and asked around with the help of my grandma who has a close relationship with one of the Councilor, Cherry Dimacali. The Barangay Captain was not present during my visit because, according to the councilor, the captain had gone to the barangay day care center after its jetmatic water pump was stolen. During my interview, I asked about the recent developments and projects in the community. Based on the information I gathered, I learned that there were only two developments mentioned in our barangay. The first was the completed renovation of the grotto, which I was told by some residents took several years to finish. The second was the extension and improvement of the barangay hall office. Aside from these, Councilor Cherry Dimacali shared that she was not aware of any other ongoing or planned community projects. This visit helped me realize the importance of community development and the need to keep residents informed about projects that benefit the barangay. His presence is comforting, and he always reminds me to take breaks and not put too much pressure on myself. Since I have ADHD, I sometimes struggle with managing multiple tasks because I tend to think about the next assignment before finishing the one I’m currently working on. He encourages me to take everything one step at a time, which helps me stay focused and feel less overwhelmed. Personally, I handle mental stress by getting enough sleep. Sleeping allows me to rest both physically and mentally, helping me feel refreshed and ready continue my responsibilities. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-Secretary DATE: SEPTEMBER 8,2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The given PPT about flood readiness made me realize how important it is to be prepared, especially during the rainy season. The presentation discussed how flooding can affect communities by damaging homes, disrupting schooling, and creating health risks. It also emphasized the importance of staying informed, avoiding floodwaters, preparing emergency kits, and knowing where to evacuate. I was able to relate this to my own experience. Thankfully, my family and I are doing well. There was a concern in our village because the creek behind our area was overflowing and continuously rising as the rain continued. If the rain had not stopped, our village could have been flooded. I am grateful that the rain stopped before the situation became worse However , the weather has still been affecting me physically because I have been constantly experiencing fever while trying to continue studying. The frequent class suspensions have also made it difficult for me to focus on preparing for finals. It is frustrating because finals are approaching, and I know they will be more challenging. The suspension on September 7 was especially difficult. The announcement came late, and I had already left home early because I expected heavy traffic. When the suspension was announced, many students had to travel home at the same time, causing my usual 1–2 hour commute to become around 3 hours. Overall, this discussion helped me understand that disasters can affect more than just our homes and surroundings they can also affect our health, education, and daily lives. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: DATE: June 26, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: From my understanding, NSTP is a program that was mandated to be followed by all higher education institutions such as colleges with it’s main purpose to promote defense preparedness and community spirit within students while also developing their morals and values for the better of society and this comes in 3 parts, CWTS, LTS, and ROTC. Although it’s purpose is quite simple, I believe it is actually quite important especially in today’s situation where unfortunately the greatest enemy of Filipino’s are our fellow Filipinos so now more than ever helping the youth to have this sense of community between themselves can help pave a way for a better future for our country in these rough times. When it comes to my own understanding of civic responsibility, though so far I’ve only had 2 meeting in NSTP, I think seeing how much the program has changed throughout the years with its rules and even the addition of CWTS and LTS, I can see that there are still those in positions of power over our country that wish to promote one-community among us Filipinos which although in my opinion is the bare minimum, it is still inspiring and I hope my fellow Filipinos will feel motivated to better understand one another.

Of course, that’s only speaking from my experience regarding the topic of the lesson but I think some other people I know agree that this is indeed happening within our own nation, personally even despite the hatred that some citizens have towards others and our country, I will still keep trying my best to be a good citizen and a good Filipino, not because I have to but because I want to out of love for the Philippines.

PEER REFLECTION: For making a positive impact in the community with my peers, we thought of a few ways but one good idea was to help share with others our thoughts on what makes a good leader, although rather simple, I find it a good way to help make a better community as it lets us broaden our perspectives on what people want to see in their leaders whether it be their mayor or the president, in addition it also can be a good way to remind people on how to be a better person because a good leader can also be a good follower.

It makes us conscious of our responsibilities as an individual of being part of a community and that service is not only for ourselves but for others as well, and helps us become involved in meaningful service for our community and country. It gives us opportunities that will help us grow, such as strengthening our discipline and leadership. For me, the importance of NSTP is to remind us of the basic fact that being a student does not just go on about school and achieve personal success, but it also involves contributing to society, to be a good trustworthy citizen with sense of purpose. It shapes our understanding that fulfilling our duty is essential, not only for ourselves but also for the community. The background and laws related to NSTP influence my understanding of civic responsibility by showing that being a responsible citizen means actively participating in programs that strengthen society, whether through education or community service and that every student has a role in shaping a peaceful, united, and strong community.

Knowing our strengths, weaknesses and values enables us to make good choices and be more responsible. I understood that what it meant to be a good citizen was to respect, be kind, and be responsible towards others, not just follow the rules. We should be responsible in protecting our culture, give contribution to the community and promote the development of our country, as Filipinos. My learning point is that it was simple yet meaningful, as we are reminded that real change starts with us. Knowing that we are Filipinos and being good citizens, we can inspire others and contribute to the development of a better Philippines. I came to understand that citizenship is not just a label, but a duty. Every Filipino has something to contribute in preserving our culture, uniting our people, and supporting the growth of our country. I learned that knowing myself helps me make choices that are right for me. It also guides me not to do things that might hurt other people or the community. I realized I should always be careful because my actions, even small ones, can affect the country. As a Filipino, showing respect and discipline in simple ways can already make a big difference.

We can begin with reading programs with children and encourage reading practice and we can also set up clean up drives to make the surroundings neat. Youth can also learn to play a role in the community by helping to arrange health talks on cleanliness or eating healthy food. We could organize sports or fitness activities that will include individuals and strengthen groupwork. It is clear from these activities that when youth work together we can make a significant difference by working on a common plan. This is demonstrated through collaborative effort and leadership by having individual members share tasks, listen to the other members, and work together. These character traits encourage others to get involved and maintain the values of the community.

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-LEADER DATE: JULY 11, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: I learned from NSTP that the aim of it is to develop the students' responsibility as citizens through community service and teamwork. It made me realize that projects like clean‑up drives or participating in other small community work can be used to fulfill requirements, but they can also bring benefits to others. I saw good citizenship when classmates gave their time to help the community without asking for anything in return. On the other hand, I also noticed poor citizenship when some people did not do their part or ignored their responsibilities. This showed me that being a good citizen means being willing to serve others and think about the common good, while poor citizenship happens when people choose not to care or take action. With this experience I learned that even with small gestures you can make a big impact in creating a stronger community. Simple actions like helping, volunteering, or showing care can inspire others and create unity. Because of this, my understanding of being a Filipino citizen has grown. In addition, NSTP taught me that leadership is not about power but about service and responsibility. A true leader is someone who acts, serves, and takes responsibility for the good of others.

Health and nutrition programs will help families stay strong and prevent sickness, while education projects such as scholarships and better school facilities will give children more chances to learn and succeed. Clean water and steady electricity will make daily living easier, and peace and order programs will keep the community safe and united. At the same time, disaster preparedness will ensure that we are ready to respond quickly to typhoons, floods, or other emergencies. The plan also looks at long-term growth through waste management, agriculture, and infrastructure. Proper waste disposal and recycling will keep our surroundings clean and healthy. Support for farmers will strengthen food supply and provide better income, while new roads and bridges will connect people to schools, hospitals, and markets. Altogether, this plan is about building a stronger, safer, and more sustainable barangay where everyone can share in progress.

Simple routines like drinking water, stretching, or even writing down my tasks make me feel more in control. When stress builds up, I handle it by slowing down and breathing deeply. I avoid pushing myself too hard and give myself permission to rest when needed. It hurts to see them struggle every day, and it shows that our community still has problems that need attention. This made me realize that we should not ignore them, because their situation reflects the lack of support and kindness around us. Even small actions can bring hope and make a difference in their lives. To help address this issue, I can start by joining outreach programs that give food, clothes, or school supplies to street children. I can also share awareness with my classmates and friends so more people will care and take part in helping. Most of all, I can show respect and kindness to them, treating them as part of the community instead of outsiders. By doing these simple steps, I can help create a more caring and supportive environment for them.

The project focuses on giving them a safe place to learn, play, and grow. It includes lessons in reading, writing, math, and hygiene, along with fun activities like storytelling, arts, and sports. The goal is to teach children the value of education, good health, and teamwork while connecting them to community support services. Through this 15-Saturday program, we aim to build their confidence and encourage them to stay in school. By the end of the project, children are expected to gain better access to education, improve their hygiene habits, and develop positive social skills. It also helps strengthen cooperation between NSTP students, community leaders, and child-support agencies to create a more caring and supportive environment for every child.

They told me that they discussed SWOT analysis, which stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and learned how it can be used in making an action plan by turning problems into possible solutions. My classmate also told me that they had a different facilitator during the session. Even though I was not able to experience the discussion personally, I learned that the facilitator guided them through the activities and helped them understand the topic. It made me realize that every facilitator may have a different way of teaching and guiding the class. Overall, I learned that SWOT analysis can help us understand situations better, identify problems, and find ways to improve them. I’m also thankful to my classmate for sharing what happened during the session so I could still understand what I missed

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-TIMER DATE: JUNE 21, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: I’ve always thought that NSTP helps mold students into better people by teaching us how to serve our community and our country. As I got to know more about it through our CWTS teacher Mr. Ocera, I discovered that it is mandated by our law which was in Republic Act 9163, which means that the government has a clear agenda in preparing the youth for nation-building. To me, NSTP is not just a subject to complete at Holy Angel University, but it is about developing us students to become more responsible and being aware of the needs of the real world community. Knowing that NSTP is supported by law helped me understand that the government really values youth involvement in nation-building which made me take it a lot more seriously because it became an eye opener for me that the civic duty is not something that we can choose to do, it is something that we are expected to do as part of big society. Because of this, I now see myself not only as a student, but as someone who can be part of change by giving back to the community even in small ways.

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-TIMER DATE: JULY 2, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: We began our NSTP class last Saturday with a prayer. After that, all groups went on with the presentation of our assignment which was the poster and when we’re all done presenting, our prof discussed about the topic being a good Filipino citizen. While discussing, we were asked to recite the Panatang Makabayan, and I saw that some of us still don't know or remember it well. That got me thinking that maybe we don't pay enough attention to things that represent us as Filipinos and it made me realize that I should take it more seriously and understand its meaning. Then, Mr. Ocera tasked all groups to share some thoughts about the lesson, and our group was given a topic about Filipino being known as hospitable, and one of our members in the group volunteered to speak. I learned that Filipinos are very welcoming and make tourists feel at home, but I also learned that sometimes, they give more attention to foreigners because they think that they are wealthier and more beneficial, rather than giving the same attention to the other Filipinos. We also talked about self-awareness, and I realized that it is important to know yourself because it will help you to understand what you are doing, your strengths and weaknesses, and to make a better decision. Then, our group was supposed to present a mini skit about a person who dropped their things accidentally and will show how Filipinos will respond to that person with kindness, however, we were unable to present due to the arrival of ROTC recruiters. I was considering joining ROTC but after thorough thinking about it, I feel like NSTP is way better for me because I can learn more useful lessons that I can apply in in the future and real life. So, our NSTP class was a simple but meaningful class that helped me to better understand on how to be a better person and a Filipino citizen.

It made me think deeper about how leaders should actually care for the community and not just hold power. Next, they shared that we should be wise in choosing our leaders because in reality wrong leaders can cause people to suffer and I can see that happening around us. Then during the discussion, I noticed how they listened and respected different opinions which showed me that leadership also means understanding others and not just speaking. lastly, I feel like I should apply this by being more aware and involved in what is happening around me and being more responsible with my choices because even as a student I know that what I do and what I choose can still affect the community.

I understood that the purpose of NSTP is to help students become responsible citizens who put the common good above personal gain. During our discussions, I gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Filipino citizen, as I came to understand that loving the country also involves paying attention to the needs of the community and taking responsibility. The lesson brought to my mind that leadership is not about power, it is about making right decisions and serving others with sincerity. From this experience, I now view myself as a future leader and citizen as one who can positively contribute to my community and help build a better nation through ethical and compassionate actions.

Because of this, I looked for another way to get the development plan. I contacted one of the barangay councilors or workers and explained my situation. They were very kind and understanding. They even offered to send me a copy of the development plan online and take a picture of it for me since I could not go there in person. This experience showed me that the barangay officials are helpful and willing to assist. They are open and not hiding anything, and they are confident to share their plans with the community. It also showed that they care about helping students like me, even if the situation is difficult. The development plan shows that the barangay has plans for the people and wants to improve the community. It made me feel thankful because they helped me complete my assignment. How are you personally handling mental stress? Ever since I studied at Holy Angel University, I have experienced major adjustments due to a different and unfamiliar environment. Despite having tons of schoolwork, I still try to manage doing all the things I love to feel at ease. For example, hanging out with my friends after school and asking them in our GC about things I still don't know. I also take a nap whenever I feel burdened by the school loads, and lastly, this one is very effective for me, praying to God, like talking to Him and telling Him all the things I still need to do, praying for strength and peace of mind, and that makes everything feel lighter. When it comes to handling my personal stress, as I said, I always pray to God, and I try to manage my time by doing the important things first while still caring for myself and not being hard on myself.

I learned that social issues could affect many people in a community and need proper attention and solutions. We also talked about Pax Silica, and I realized that the development of AI can have effects beyond technology. For example, using large areas of land for AI facilities may lead to the loss of farms, which can affect farmers, food production, and the community. Our home was not flooded or greatly affected by the recent typhoons, and for that, I am truly grateful. But being safe also makes me think about the people who were not as fortunate. Some lost their homes, belongings, and the comfort of having a safe place to return to. I continue to pray for everyone affected by the calamity. In times like this, I believe we should be more compassionate and considerate because we never truly know what someone else is going through. While some of us may only see suspended classes or inconveniences, others are facing much greater struggles. So, if you will ask me how am I? I would say I am safe, grateful, and reminded that being blessed also means remembering and caring for those who are still struggling. This situation also made me reflect on how quickly life can change. One moment, everything feels normal, and the next, many people are left trying to rebuild what they lost. It reminds me not to take safety, comfort, and even simple daily routines for granted. Although I was not able to physically participate in community efforts during this time, I still tried to be mindful and supportive in simple ways, such as staying informed, offering prayers, and being more aware of the situation of others. This experience made me realize that helping does not always have to be big, but it starts with concern, empathy, and the willingness to act when given the opportunity.

Attendance 1. NSTP classes for this semester will be conducted online and face-to-face. Online classes will be on June 13, 2026 and August 23, 2026. All the rest of the sessions will be held face-to-face except otherwise announced by the NSTP Office through NSTP facilitators. Those who fail to attend the scheduled face-to-face/ synchronous session(s) will be marked absent. Should you foresee the possibility on your part to fail to attend such sessions due to valid reasons, kindly inform your respective facilitators beforehand and present documents that will support your reason for your absence. 2. Checking of students’ attendance is done twice: First, within 15 minutes of the first hour of the class, and second, within 15 minutes before the class ends within or outside the university. Students who will come late for the first call/checking will be marked late until the 30th minute of the first hour. A student is allowed two (2) late arrivals whether consecutive or not. On the 3rd late arrival, the student will be marked absent for one whole session, and every time he/she incurs three late arrivals thereafter. 3. Students will be marked absent for the day’s session for late arrivals beyond 30 minutes, leaving them with NO merit for attendance, but they will earn scores for their class standing should they decide to nonetheless join the activities. 4. The allowable number of unexcused absences is three (3) session days whether consecutive or not. A student who incurs more than the allowed number of absences shall be marked “FA”, that is, failure due to absences, regardless of his/her class standing. 5. A student who intends to be absent is required to present an EXCUSE LETTER to his/her NSTP facilitator in advance (before the scheduled absence). For unforeseen absences, an excuse letter must be presented immediately after the absence upon the student’s return to his/her classes. 6. CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE- OBSERVER DATE: JULY 2, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Understanding oneself is the foundation of becoming a responsible and purpose-driven individual. Through this topic, I realized that knowing my strengths, weaknesses, values, and goals allows me to make better decisions and contribute positively to society. As a Filipino, I also learned that my identity is shaped not only by my personal experiences but also by the culture, history, and values of our nation. Appreciating these aspects helps me develop a stronger sense of pride and responsibility toward my country. This lesson reminded me that self-awareness is essential in becoming someone who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. The discussion on being a good citizen helped me realize that citizenship goes beyond simply following laws or fulfilling obligations. It also means showing respect, practicing integrity, and actively contributing to the welfare of the community. Even as a first-year college student, I can demonstrate good citizenship through my actions, decisions, and willingness to help others. I learned that positive change begins with individuals who choose to act responsibly and compassionately in their everyday lives. This topic inspired me to become a more responsible Filipino who contributes to society through both small and meaningful actions.

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE- OBSERVER DATE: JULY 4, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The discussion and roleplay today made me realize that young people can contribute to community development by actively participating, volunteering, and encouraging others to work toward a common goal. Through the roleplay, I saw that effective leadership is shown not only by giving directions but also by setting a good example through responsibility, integrity, and compassion. My peer showed that even small actions, when done consistently and with teamwork, can create meaningful and lasting change in the community. The activity also reminded me that choosing the right leader is important because a leader's values and decisions influence the success of any group or organization. When leaders inspire trust and encourage collaboration, people become more willing to participate and work together toward shared goals. This activity helped me appreciate the importance of teamwork, community organizing, and servant leadership in creating positive change. I realized that every individual has a role to play, whether by leading with integrity or supporting others with dedication. As a first-year aeronautical engineering student, I learned that leadership and communication are essential skills because future professionals must make responsible decisions that affect the safety and well-being of others. I also understood that true leadership is not defined by authority but by the ability to listen, unite people, and make wise decisions for the common good. This experience encouraged me to become a more responsible citizen who values service, chooses leaders wisely, and strives to become a leader worthy of others' trust. As the course progressed, I realized that its true purpose is to develop students who are not only academically prepared but also responsible and compassionate members of society. It made me understand that education should not only help us achieve our personal goals but should also prepare us to serve others. I also learned that leadership is not measured by authority or recognition but by the willingness to take initiative and help even in simple ways. Because of NSTP, I now see community service as a responsibility rather than just a school requirement. The lessons I gained from NSTP also changed the way I understand Filipino citizenship. I realized that being a good citizen is not limited to following the law but also includes showing integrity, responsibility, respect, and concern for the people around us. As a future aeronautical engineer, I hope to use the knowledge and skills I gain not only to build a successful career but also to make a meaningful contribution to society. This course reminded me that every profession carries a responsibility to serve others and create a positive impact. More than anything, NSTP taught me that real change begins with ordinary people who choose to do what is right, even when no one is watching.

Cruz, Porac, Pampanga gave me the opportunity to observe surroundings that I had not seen before. As I made my way to the barangay hall, I passed through residential areas, local roads, and different community spaces that offered a broader view of the barangay beyond what I usually encounter. Upon arriving, I observed that the office had a steady flow of residents attending to different concerns while the personnel assisted them with their requests. I approached the office to request a copy of the Barangay Project Development Plan, but I was informed that the Barangay Captain was not available at the time. Instead, the staff explained that they did not have a written document listing the development projects and provided documentation containing before-and-after photographs of completed concrete road improvement projects, which they also sent to my email for reference. The visit became more than simply collecting materials for a course requirement because it allowed me to observe how a barangay office functions during an ordinary working day. Aside from receiving the project documentation, I was also able to witness how residents approached the office for different concerns and how requests were accommodated based on the records available. Walking through the barangay and spending time in the office gave me a better understanding of the community from a perspective that cannot be fully captured through online sources or classroom discussions alone. The experience provided a clearer picture of both the physical environment and the everyday processes taking place within the barangay. Overall, the visit served as a learning experience that combined direct observation, community interaction, and the collection of local information into a more practical understanding of Barangay Sta. Cruz. NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM (CWTS) JOURNAL WORKSHEET NO. 6

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-OBSERVER DATE: AUGUST 1, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: I have learned that I work better when my mind and surroundings are organized. What helps me feel at ease is managing my time well and reminding myself to focus on one task at a time instead of trying to accomplish everything all at once. I also make it a habit to write down the tasks I need to finish because having a checklist helps me stay organized and gives me a clear sense of direction throughout the day. Surprisingly, cleaning my room or organizing my things also helps me relax because it clears not only my surroundings but also my mind. Whenever I need a break, I enjoy taking a walk outside, dancing to my favorite songs, or simply spending time playing with my dog, and those moments help me recharge before getting back to my responsibilities. When I start feeling mentally stressed, I try not to keep everything to myself. I usually talk to my parents because they know me well, and their advice often helps me look at situations from a different perspective whenever I begin to overthink. Instead of being too hard on myself, I remind myself that not everything has to be finished immediately and that taking things one step at a time is still progress. I've realized that staying organized, giving myself enough time to rest, and making room for the people and activities that bring me peace help me stay balanced even during busy weeks. These simple habits may not completely remove stress, but they help me handle it in a healthier way while continuing to do my best in school.

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-OBSERVER DATE: AUGUST 18, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: The project plan shows how student-led community initiatives can help address social issues such as poverty and educational disruption. By focusing on street children and those at risk of dropping out in Angeles, Pampanga, the program provides support for their health, education, and emotional well-being. The 15-Saturday schedule shows the importance of building trust and providing consistent support rather than relying on short-term solutions. Giving children a safe place to learn, play, and express themselves can help rebuild their confidence and interest in education. Overall, the project shows how student volunteers can help connect vulnerable children and families with the support they need. Personally, reviewing the implementation plan made me realize that meaningful community service requires careful planning and commitment. The activities, from community assessment to health workshops and educational sessions, show how different forms of support can contribute to a child's development. Simple activities such as basic math lessons, storytelling, and hygiene kit distribution can make children feel valued and supported. The involvement of local officials, community leaders, and NSTP students also shows that helping vulnerable youth is a shared responsibility. This project reminds me that giving our time and effort consistently can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and in the future of the community.

CLASS CODE: 401 GROUP NO., NAME & POSITION: G1-SERVE-OBSERVER DATE: AUGUST 26, 2026 INSIGHTS/LEARNING: Improper waste management is a problem that can easily be overlooked because it has become common in many communities. Creating the problem tree helped us understand that issues such as clogged drainage, pests, and pollution are not simply caused by the presence of waste, but are connected to poor segregation, disposal habits, and limited awareness. It made us realize that maintaining a clean community is not only the responsibility of waste collectors or local officials. Every resident has a role in preventing waste from becoming a larger environmental and health concern. As students, this activity showed us that even simple changes in our daily habits can contribute to a cleaner and safer community. More importantly, the activity helped us look beyond the visible effects of improper waste disposal and consider the reasons behind them. Addressing the problem requires more than cleaning streets after waste has already accumulated, it also requires encouraging proper practices and making responsible waste disposal easier for residents. Through NSTP, we can use what we have learned to participate in practical efforts that promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility. We also learned that meaningful community involvement begins with understanding a problem before trying to solve it. Ultimately, the activity reminded us that a cleaner community depends not only on programs, but also on the consistent cooperation and responsibility of the people living in it.
