REST Tools to Implement “The REST Skill” It has 3 steps. Notice > Name > Need Notice: What am I feeling? Name: What is my body/mind asking for? Need: What is one small thing I can give myself? Schedule intentional rest blocks into your week. Take a phone-free walk or sit outside without an agenda. Practice guided breathing or meditation. Create a personal rest menu of activities that restore you. When guilt appears, ask: “What would change if I believed rest was productive?” Use the Rest Collage as a visual reminder of what restoration looks like for you. Journal Prompts What does rest mean to you? What does rest look like for you beyond sleep or vacation? What makes it difficult for you to rest? Where do you feel pressure to be productive? What do you feel when you give yourself permission to do less? What would it look like to rest without guilt? What are the signs that your body, mind, or spirit needs rest? What activities genuinely restore you? Where in your life do you need to create more space? What might be possible if you allowed yourself to pause?
Tools to Implement “The PLAY Skill: Follow the Spark” We don't necessarily need more time for play. We need to become better at noticing the little sparks of interest that happen throughout our day and following them. It’s about intentionality. You hear a song → turn it up. You want to dance → dance. You see the sunset → stop and watch. You want to call someone → call them. You feel curious → follow the curiosity. Grab your journal and create your Play Menu 5-minute play: Something I can do almost anywhere. 15-minute play: Something I can make time for. Weekend play: Something I want to experience. Journal Prompts When was the last time you played just for the sake of playing? What makes you feel light, joyful, curious, or silly? What did you love doing as a child? What would you do if you didn't care whether you were good at it? Where have you stopped yourself from having fun? What brings out your most playful self? What would you like to explore simply because it sounds fun? Where could you invite more spontaneity into your life? What does your inner child want more of? Play KADAHOS
Tools to Implement “RESET Pause Skill” Reset is the skill of noticing when we're on autopilot and giving ourselves an opportunity to choose again. R > Recognize: What is happening right now? E > Exhale: Take one slow breath. S > Step back: Create a little space before reacting. E > Explore: What do I need? What are my choices? T > Take one small step: And then choose what comes next! Create a simple daily reset ritual: pause, breathe, release, choose. Journal to identify what needs to be released and what needs attention. Set intentions instead of only setting goals. Create a physical or symbolic release ritual when you need closure. Use your Oracle/Intention practice for reflection and guidance. Revisit your intentions regularly and ask: “Is this still aligned with who I am becoming?” Journal Prompts What in your life is asking to be reset? What are you ready to release? What no longer serves the person you are becoming? What patterns, habits, or beliefs are you ready to leave behind? What are your sources of strength? What helps you return to yourself when you feel overwhelmed? What do you want to carry forward? What intention do you want to move forward with? What small daily habit would support your REST, PLAY, and RESET? What would a more aligned version of your life look like? RESET
