fashion evolution
my industry aspirations are to either be a fashion designer or a fashion marketer which are both different to eachother as one you use your mind and the other is more digital.A fashion designer uses more of their mind and their imagination to create different ideas for an outfit, this role in the industry is important because they combine artistic visions with practical skills to turn ideas into fashionable.A fashion marketer is a professional who creates and implements marketing stratergies to promote brands, a fashion marketer can also create brand awareness which builds a unique identity for the fashion labels and builds identity to drive sales and popularity.industry criteria researchSTUDIO SHODWE3

Dior Campaign9 This advertisment gives the audience a clear impression of how this makeup product works and gives an impression of luxury and timeless elegance, the lighting in this poster focuses on the sense of high- end glamour as it has a contrast of soft lighting and dramatic. Natalie Portman 2018 diorskin This ad was launched on the 6th of February 2018 What stopped me to look through this campaign is it really captivated my eye with the celebrity Natalie Portman and her famous lead played roles such as in The Black Swan. Another reason to why this campaign caught my eye is because of the poster which has very dark feminime energy which is powerful, This poster also has a close up on how this specific makeup product works and shows the flawless effect it has which gives the brand a good review.

fashion history why do fashion trends change? fashion trends change because they are driven by a combination of cultural shifts and designers intentionally introducing new aesthetics to create demand and prevent the market from becoming stagnant. This cycle is often accelerated by social media and fast fashion which can turn niche styles into global movements overnight. which era of fashion do you find the most interesting and why? i find the 1990s the most interesting era as there is a massive shift in how people connected through the early internet and the explosion of grunge and pop culture are huge highlights, this era is start of the digital world we live in now. I think that this era is the most interesting as it has a massive impact on the fashion industry and is the start of the Kate Moss era and her famous runways and catwalks.
Leopard Print The print came from ancient egypt and greek cultures which was seen as royalty and divine authority. The first designer to make the leopard print popular in fashion was Christian Dior in his catwalk in 1947 which then was popular for years, most popular in the years of 1950s and 1960s. This print later became popular again in the years 2010s & 2020s. This pattern never left the fashion industry and is used often in the runway shows and in many different designs. This print never truley left the fashion industry and always has a come back like in the Roberto Cavalli 2027 spring runway show. This runway show has had a slight modern twist as they added a pop of colour within this pattern which i think really fits into this generation. This print is very iconic and was very popular in the early 2000's and very important. In my opinion this print will never truly go out of style and will always linger around.

weekly journal- week 3 in this week i’ve learnt about how brands bubble up and trickle down. Bubble up refers to the trickle up effect, meaning where trends start off small but grow in popularity making it a popular trend which is why its called the bubble up effect. The trickle down effect is where a brand or trend start off really big, popular but have a downfall which leads to this trend not being popular. I’ve also learnt about the definition of subculture which is a cultural group within a larger culture, often having beliefs or interests at variance of those with the larger culture. I really enjoyed this lesson i found it interesting and i’ve learnt a lot and a lot of different words with their meanings. During this Thursdays lesson ive done research on the 90s hip-hop style and created a moodboard which helped me get a breif idea on what i should do my photoshoot on, where i should do it and what props i should use. I later did the photoshoot which i thought went really well as the pictures came out as i wanted them too, the location of the pictures were all different which made the pictures have their own moment. The feedback that i got for these pictures was really helpful as now i know what to include in my future projects and what to not do, I then later wrote about the feedback that ive gotten off my peers and how it effected me and what i thought about it. After this i then made a moodboard on my final outcome off this project which will be a photoshoot and those pictures from this will be turned into a magazine which i will expand on by explaining why ive used te props that ive used and explaining how ive done the pictures and why. In conclusion ive enjoyed this lesson a lot and learnt quite a bit, however there were some parts of todays project that made me feel a little uncomfortable such as doing this photoshoot in public but i also think that it was really helpful to be more confident to complete my final presentation and build my confidence up for the future. 90s Hip-Hop
Evaluation & Feedback Fashion EditorialWe got asked to take pictures for a magazine cover that represents a different era with a slight modern twist, So our group chose hip-hop/90s and in this photoshoot we decided to go in different areas that i thought represents the hip-hop rap style by including the grafiti, road signs and the checkered flooring that was used in many pictures during that era. In this photoshoot i felt very happy but a little uncomfortable as there were many people around, however i feel like this photoshoot really helped boost my confidence which is going to be helpful for future projects as there will be many more photoshoots throughout this course. In my opinion what i think what worked best in this photoshoot was the scenery/ location that we did this in as each picture has a different location and each one stands out in their own way. Another thing that worked well for this photoshoot is the range of colours that are used, the grittiness cross with the colours used on the graffiti gives a nice contrast between the 90s hip-hop vibe and the modern dull vibe. In my opinion what could be improved in this photoshoot is using different clothes that would match the vibe that we were goiung for as it was a little unclear. In my opinion this photoshoot worked but there could be some parts that we need to improve on. What worked well was the different locations and scenary but what could be improved is the different clothes to match the theme a little more.I also think that our group worked really well with each other and helped brainstorming ideas together which helped us create the final piece. In conclusion i think that this project was editorial effective. Our groups editorial was different to the other groups as for the first reason no- one elses chose the same era as us. Second reason to why our editorial is different to everyone elses is because of the use of different colour schemes as ours is more colourful than others. The other groups has used less colour and most of their pictures have used the same background but chose different eras which matched which year they chose. In conclusion i think our group photoshoot came out really well but we could be a little more prepared for next time as we used the same outfits and could change to match the era more.
Rave Moodboard
Front Cover Magazine These rave culture magazines have inspired me because of the variety of colours and how much is going on in the front cover. I will make sure to include this type of style to my actual project. Another reason to why i’ve been inspired by these covers is because it is clearly stated which type of genre this is making these good covers.
