ABSTRACT Academic libraries are important for teaching, learning, and research. Today, they do much more than provide books and reading materials. They offer many research support services such as helping users find information, teaching information literacy skills, conducting literature searches, checking plagiarism, managing research data, using citation management tools, measuring research impact, maintaining institutional repositories, and supporting scholarly publishing. These services help researchers at different stages of their research and improve the quality and visibility of their work. This study focuses on the research support services provided by academic libraries. It aims to understand how aware research scholars and faculty members are of these services, how often they use them, and how satisfied they are. The study also looks at the problems libraries face in providing these services and suggests ways to improve them. The study uses a descriptive survey method with both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data are collected through questionnaires given to research scholars. Information is also collected from books, research articles, conference papers, university reports, institutional repositories, and online databases. The collected data are analyzed using simple statistical methods such as frequency, percentage, mean, graph, pie chart. The study is expected to show how well research support services are available and used in academic libraries. CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1 Introduction Libraries play an important role in teaching, learning, and research. Earlier, academic libraries mainly focused on collecting and lending books. Today, with the growth of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), they have become knowledge centers that provide many research support services. Researchers now need help not only in finding books and online resources but also in searching information, managing research data, avoiding plagiarism, managing references, sharing research, and using research evaluation tools. Because of these changes, academic libraries have become active partners in the research process. Research support services are the facilities, resources, and guidance that libraries provide to help researchers at different stages of their research. These services include access to electronic databases, e-journals, institutional repositories, literature searching, current awareness services, reference and bibliographic support, citation management tools, plagiarism checking support, citation analysis, research impact measurement, and user education programmes. These services help researchers find reliable information quickly and improve the quality of their research. In today's knowledge-based society, universities are expected to produce high-quality research that benefits both education and society. Academic libraries support this goal by providing easy access to information resources and offering research-related guidance. The quality of these services depends on factors such as the availability of information resources, technology, skilled library staff, and users' awareness of the services. Therefore, it is important to regularly evaluate research support services so that libraries can improve their services and meet the changing needs of researchers. A well-known state university in Haryana, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, offers courses in science, engineering, management, pharmacy, environmental studies, and other fields. For academics, research scholars, and students, the university library is the main source of knowledge. It gives users access to a vast library of printed books, journals, theses, dissertations, electronic resources, online databases, and digital services that aid in research, teaching, and learning. Additionally, the library provides contemporary information services that are intended to support efficient research and academic collaboration. 2
Despite the fact that the GJUST Library offers a wide range of research support services, it is crucial to assess how often professors and researchers use these resources. Determining the degree of user awareness, pleasure, and difficulties encountered when utilizing these services is equally important. Such an inquiry will assist ascertain whether the current services sufficiently satisfy users' research needs and will offer insightful input for enhancing library services. The goal of the current study, "Research Support Services in GJUST Library," is to evaluate the research support services offered by the library, look at how research scholars and faculty members use them, measure user satisfaction, pinpoint issues, and recommend appropriate solutions to improve the efficacy of these services. It is anticipated that the results of this study will assist library administrators in better understanding customer expectations, enhancing service quality, and strengthening the library's role in fostering innovation and research. Academic libraries must constantly modify their offerings to satisfy new research demands as research activities grow and digital technology transform scholarly communication. Therefore, this study is important for comprehending the current state of research support services at the GJUST Library and for offering suggestions that may help create more effective, user-friendly, and technologically advanced library services. 1.2 Background of the Study Universities have developed into high-impact hubs for research and development (R&D) in the modern higher education ecosystem, moving beyond traditional teaching centers. An academic institution's research output is the main indicator of its accreditation status (e.g., NAAC ratings in India), institutional prestige, and global ranking. The university library is the central component of this research engine. The contemporary academic library functions as an active, technologically advanced partner throughout the whole research lifecycle, no longer serving as a passive store for tangible print assets. Research Support Services (RSS) are modern library services that help researchers carry out their research more effectively. These services provide guidance, resources, and tools to improve the quality of research and make the research process easier. These services go beyond the traditional library services, such as issuing books and answering reference questions. They also support important research activities by providing different types of assistance to researchers : • Discovery and Access: Overseeing national information consortia, institutional repositories, and full-text databases. 3
• Research Metrics and Evaluation: helping researchers navigate impact factors, determine h-index/i10-index values, and analyze citations. • Research Integrity: Offering compliance guidelines and a methodical anti-plagiarism screening. • Information literacy: teaching students how to use upcoming AI platforms, data repositories, and specialized tools. Robust RSS is especially important in technological and scientific universities. To be globally competitive, researchers working in rapidly changing fields need instantaneous, unrestricted access to electronic journals, specialized financial or scientific databases, and smooth digital workflows. 1.3 Contextual Profile of the Study Site The present study was conducted at the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, Haryana. The university was established in 1995 by the Government of Haryana and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in various disciplines, including Science, Engineering, Technology, Management, Pharmacy, Environmental Studies, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The university is well known for promoting quality teaching, research, and innovation. The Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library is the central library of the university and serves as the main information centre for students, research scholars, faculty members, and university staff. The library plays an important role in supporting teaching, learning, and research activities by providing access to a wide range of printed and electronic information resources. The library has a rich collection of books, reference materials, journals, magazines, newspapers, theses, dissertations, and other academic publications. It also provides access to electronic resources such as e-journals, e-books, online databases, institutional repositories, and digital library services. These resources help researchers obtain current and reliable information for their academic work. To support research activities, the library offers several research support services. These include access to online databases, plagiarism checking facilities, reference services, current awareness services, user orientation programmes, and assistance in locating research information. The library also provides internet and Wi-Fi facilities, computer access, Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), and reading spaces for users. 4
The library regularly adopts new information and communication technologies to improve its services. It makes efforts to provide users with easy access to both printed and digital resources and encourages the effective use of electronic information resources through training programmes and user education. The selection of the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library as the study site is appropriate because it serves a large number of research scholars from different University Teaching Departments (UTDs). As the central academic library of GJUS&T, it provides a variety of research support services that are essential for higher education and research. Therefore, it offers a suitable setting for assessing the awareness, use, effectiveness, challenges, and satisfaction of research scholars regarding library research support services. The findings of this study are expected to help the library identify its strengths and areas that need improvement. The results may also assist the university in enhancing research support services to meet the changing information needs of research scholars and faculty members. 1.4 Statement of the Problem Academic libraries invest a significant amount of money in purchasing e-journals, e-books, online databases, and other digital resources. They also organize user awareness programmes and training sessions to help researchers make effective use of these resources. However, the availability of these services does not always mean that they are fully used by researchers. Many research scholars face difficulties in finding relevant information because they are not fully aware of all the research support services provided by the library. Some researchers also lack the skills required to use advanced online databases, search techniques, citation tools, and other digital research resources effectively. In addition, the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research has created new challenges related to information accuracy, research ethics, and academic integrity. Although the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar provides a wide range of research support services, there is limited research on how effectively these services meet the needs of research scholars. There is also little information about users' awareness, level of satisfaction, frequency of use, and the challenges they face while using these services. Therefore, there is a need to evaluate the research support services offered by the library. The present study aims to assess the awareness, use, effectiveness, and satisfaction of research scholars regarding these services. It also seeks to identify the problems faced by users and suggest practical measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of research support services in the library. 5
1.5 Research Questions This dissertation tackles the following fundamental research topics in order to address the issue mentioned above: 1. How frequently do research scholars use the library's databases and institutional repositories? Which access methods do they prefer to use? 2. What are the opinions of research scholars and faculty members from different departments, such as Engineering, Hindi, Science, and Haryana School of Business, about the usefulness, relevance, and ease of using the library's research support services? 3. The study also considers recent developments in research support, including the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative and the use of subject-specific databases that support research in different academic disciplines. The findings are limited to GJUS&T and may not be directly applicable to other universities. 8
CHAPTER-2 : LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Introduction A review of literature is an important part of any research study because it helps the researcher understand the existing knowledge related to the research topic. It includes studying and analyzing information from books, research journals, articles, theses, dissertations, conference papers, reports, and online resources. A literature review helps the researcher identify important findings, research trends, theories, research methods, and gaps in previous studies. In Library and Information Science, the review of literature provides a strong foundation for the research. It helps the researcher understand what has already been studied, compare earlier findings, and avoid repeating the same work. It also helps in defining the objectives of the study, selecting appropriate research methods, preparing data collection tools, and interpreting the research findings. The current study," Research Support Services in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Library GJUS&T " focuses on analyzing the university library's research support services and assessing their efficacy from the viewpoints of faculty members and research scholars. Reviewing earlier research on research support services in academic libraries, digital library services, information literacy programs, scholarly communication, research data management, bibliometric services, reference management, plagiarism support, user satisfaction, and the evolving role of academic libraries in supporting research activities is therefore essential. National and worldwide research published in books, peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, doctorate theses, master's dissertations, and other appropriate sources is included in the literature reviewed for this study. These studies offer insightful information about the type, extent, use, difficulties, and efficacy of research support services provided by academic libraries. They also highlight the new developments in research support and assist in identifying best practices used by university libraries. This chapter's literature review is arranged both chronologically and topically to provide readers a clear grasp of earlier studies. It serves as the investigation's theoretical and empirical foundation and aids in identifying the research gap that the current study aims to fill. 9
2.2 International Literature Review Corrall (2013) investigated how academic librarians' support for research activities in higher education institutions is evolving. According to the report, academic librarians should become proficient in research data management, scholarly communication, digital preservation, and research evaluation in addition to providing traditional reference services. Cox and Verbaan (2016) investigated how UK university libraries were adjusting to shifting research methodologies. According to their research, libraries are helping researchers more and more by providing digital scholarship services, open-access publishing, research data management, citation analysis, and research consultation. They came to the conclusion that academic libraries are evolving from being only suppliers of information resources to active collaborators throughout the research lifecycle. Auckland (2016) looked on the skills librarians need to provide efficient research support services. Research techniques, copyright, academic communication, research data management, metadata standards, bibliometrics, and digital technologies were shown to be critical competencies. It placed a strong emphasis on ongoing training to satisfy the evolving needs of researchers. Corrall, Kennan, and Afzal (2018) looked at how university libraries in various nations have developed their research support services. According to their analysis, academic libraries now offer a wider range of services, such as digital scholarship, open scientific efforts, data management planning, research impact monitoring, and systematic review support. The authors emphasized that effective service delivery is mostly dependent on institutional cooperation and technology infrastructure. Zhang, Liu, and Wang (2019) examined research support services offered by prestigious universities included in the QS World University Rankings. Research consulting, research data management, bibliometric analysis, institutional repositories, scholarly publication help, copyright advice, and research impact services were the most commonly provided services, according to the survey, which examined the websites of 76 academic libraries. Tchangalova, Coalter, Trost, and Pierdinock (2021) carried out a scoping evaluation of research support services in STEM libraries. Specialized services like patent searches, geographic information systems (GIS), altmetrics, bibliometrics, systematic review assistance, and research data management were recognized by the review. The authors advised university libraries to consistently develop cutting-edge services in accordance with the demands of disciplinary research. 10
Ali, Shoaib, and Abdullah (2022) conducted a bibliometric analysis of research support services and information literacy literature produced between 2001 and 2020. According to their findings, publications on digital scholarship, research data management, bibliometric services, and researcher education have significantly increased. The report emphasized how crucial technology-enabled research assistance is becoming in university libraries. Howlett, Colla, and Joyce (2024) investigated research support services provided by Australian and New Zealand university libraries. Research data management, research impact assessment, support for systematic reviews, bibliometric analysis, open-access publishing, and digital scholarship were among the main service categories highlighted by the study. The authors came to the conclusion that academic libraries are increasingly using hybrid service models, which include online and in-person help, to provide research aid. Osdoski and Costa (2024) carried out a systematic review of international research on research support services in university libraries. After analyzing over fifty published papers, the review came to the conclusion that research support services are now a crucial strategic duty of academic libraries. Research data management, scholarly communication, bibliometric analysis, digital repositories, and open science assistance were the most popular offerings. Inadequate budget, inadequate manpower, and inadequate technology infrastructure were also noted in the survey as typical issues. Haq and Jan (2025) done thorough literature assessment of 43 international studies published between 1992 and 2024. They discovered that during the previous three decades, research support services had significantly increased using the PRISMA technique. Citation management, research data management, bibliometric analysis, scholarly communication, and open-access assistance are examples of core services. Barriers like resource restrictions, technical constraints, and skill gaps among library workers were also noted in the review. To enhance research support services, the authors suggested increased institutional cooperation, ongoing employee training, and the use of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence. Critical Summary The review of literature shows that academic libraries are no longer limited to providing books and reference services. Today, they play an important role in supporting research by offering a wide range of research support services. These services include access to online databases, research consultation, research data management, institutional repositories, plagiarism checking, bibliometric services, support for scholarly publishing, and assistance with open access resources. 11
The studies also show that good research support services depend on modern digital infrastructure, skilled library staff, and close cooperation between the library and researchers. Regular training programmes and user awareness activities are also important to help researchers make effective use of library resources and services. However, many studies have reported challenges such as limited financial resources, inadequate technological facilities, lack of user awareness, and the need for continuous staff training. These issues affect the quality and effective use of research support services in academic libraries. The reviewed literature provides a useful foundation for the present study. It helps in understanding the importance of research support services and provides a basis for evaluating the services offered by the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar. 2.3 Review of Literature: Indian Studies Bhardwaj and Kumar (2018) studied the evolving function of academic libraries in Indian higher education institutions. According to the survey, university libraries are helping researchers more and more with digital library services, institutional repositories, information literacy programs, electronic information resources, and plagiarism awareness. The authors stressed that in order to satisfy the changing information needs of researchers, academic libraries must use cutting-edge technologies and enhance staff competencies. Sivakumar and Rajendran (2019) examined the Research support services offered by South Indian university libraries. According to the study, the most popular research support services were user orientation programs, online journals, electronic databases, and institutional repositories. However, it was discovered that researchers had little knowledge of bibliometric services and research data management. Kumar and Singh (2020) evaluated digital research support services in Indian university libraries. The results showed that research productivity has been greatly increased by having access to e-resources via the Information and Library Network Center, remote access capabilities, plagiarism detection software, and reference management systems. To improve the efficient use of these services, the study suggested ongoing user training initiatives. Das and Islam (2021) covered the use of new technology in Indian libraries. The authors noted that by enhancing information retrieval, digital reference services, and research aid, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital technologies have the potential to 12
improve research support services. They recommended ongoing technology advancements and professional growth for library employees. Singh, Raj, and Madalli (2024) carried out one of the first thorough studies of Research Support Services (RSS) in Indian academic libraries. 212 Indian academic institutions, including Central Universities and Institutes of National Importance, had their websites examined for the study. Research guides, research consulting, research impact measurement, open access assistance, research tool recommendations, research data management, scholarly publication, and preservation of research outputs are the eight categories into which the researchers divided RSS. According to the survey, RSS adoption in Indian academic libraries is still in its infancy. While only a small number of institutions offer advanced scholarly communication services and research data management, the majority of libraries offer research tools and basic support services. Paladhi and Sinha (2024) investigated how research support services were perceived in certain Indian research libraries.Through a review of the literature and an analysis of the websites of the top research institutions evaluated by NIRF. The survey emphasized the growing recognition of research consultation, research guides, bibliometric services, institutional repositories, open-access support, and plagiarism aid as crucial library services. It also recommended increased institutional support and ongoing service development after identifying issues such poor user awareness, inadequate staffing, inadequate training, and inadequate infrastructure. Haq and Jan (2025) carried out a thorough review of research support services literature published between 1992 and 2024. The review was conducted by Indian experts and offers valuable insights for Indian academic libraries, despite the fact that it encompassed worldwide literature. According to the survey, the main elements of research support services include citation management, research data management, bibliometric analysis, scholarly communication, and open-access assistance. In order to improve research support services, it also highlighted issues like scarce resources, technological obstacles, and skill shortages among library personnel. It suggested innovation, teamwork, and the adoption of developing technology. Summary of Indian Literature Academic libraries are gradually changing from being typical information centers to active research partners, according to a survey of Indian literature. Electronic resources, institutional repositories, plagiarism detection software, reference management assistance, and information literacy courses are all accessible through the majority of university libraries. However, many universities still lack modern capabilities like bibliometric analysis, research 13
impact evaluation, research data management, and scholarly publishing support. The literature also highlights the need for increased institutional support, better technology infrastructure, ongoing training for library staff, and increased awareness among researchers. The current study, "Research Support Services in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Library GJUS&T." which aims to assess the accessibility, use, and efficacy of research support services and pinpoint areas for improvement, is based on these findings. 2.4 Summary of the Literature Review According to the literature review, one of the most important roles of academic libraries in the digital age is research support services. Academic libraries have changed from their traditional role of supplying information resources to becoming active collaborators in the research process, according to both international and Indian studies. By providing services like research consultation, access to electronic resources, information literacy programs, reference management, plagiarism detection, research data management, institutional repository services, bibliometric analysis, research impact assessment, scholarly publishing support, and open-access initiatives, libraries now assist researchers throughout the entire research lifecycle. The literature also shows that user awareness and efficient use of research support services continue to be significant obstacles. Many researchers underutilize important resources and knowledge because they are not aware of the entire range of services offered by their university library. In order to improve service quality, the evaluated studies advise ongoing user education initiatives, increased cooperation between research departments and libraries, frequent user needs assessments, and the incorporation of developing technology. Although several studies have examined research support services in academic libraries at the national and international levels, very few have specifically investigated these services in universities in Haryana, particularly at the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Library. This gap provides the rationale for the present study. The current research seeks to assess the availability, utilization, effectiveness, and user satisfaction with research support services at the GJUST Library and to suggest practical measures for their improvement. The findings are expected to contribute to the enhancement of research support services and strengthen the role of the university library in promoting quality research. 2.5 Research Gap Research support services in academic libraries have been extensively studied, according to the review of national and international literature. Academic libraries' evolving function, research data management, information literacy, scholarly communication, institutional repositories, bibliometric services, plagiarism detection, and the utilization of digital resources have all been the subject of the majority of studies. These studies have demonstrated the increasing significance of research support services in raising the caliber 14
and significance of scholarly research. But there are also a number of gaps in the literature. First, universities in industrialized nations, where research support services are comparatively well-established, have hosted the majority of international studies. Due to variations in institutional architecture, finance, and user needs, their conclusions might not be immediately transferable to the higher education environment in India. Second, while research support services in Indian academic libraries have been the subject of various studies, these studies have mostly concentrated on Central Universities, Institutes of National Importance, and a small number of research-intensive institutions. The usefulness, prestige, and use of research support services at state universities have been the subject of very few studies. Third, from the viewpoints of research researchers and faculty members, very little study has looked at users' awareness, satisfaction, and expectations surrounding research support services. The majority of earlier research has focused more on the accessibility of services than on their actual use and effectiveness. Finally, no comprehensive study has been identified that specifically investigates the research support services provided by the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) Library, Hisar. There is a lack of empirical evidence regarding the availability of these services, the extent of their use, the challenges faced by users, and the measures required to improve them. Therefore, the present study, "Research Support Services in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Library GJUS&T." seeks to fill this gap by examining the existing research support services offered by the GJUST Library, assessing their utilization and effectiveness among research scholars and faculty members, identifying the challenges encountered by users, and suggesting appropriate measures for enhancing the quality and effectiveness of research support services. 15
CHAPTER-3 : RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 3.1 Overview The research approach used for the study is described in this chapter. The research design, research approach, study population, sampling strategy, sample size, data collection and analysis procedures, validity and reliability of the research instrument, and ethical considerations are all explained. Examining research support services offered by academic libraries and gauging user satisfaction with these services are the goals of the study. 3.2 Design of Research The research design used in the study is a descriptive survey. Provide access to more reliable database. 7. Do more promotion and awareness about RSS so that more and more people use these services. 35
CHAPTER – 5 FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTIONS 5.1 Major Findings The major findings of the study are as follows: 1. Most of the research scholars (40%) visit the library 2–3 times a week, while 38% visit once a week. Only a small number of researchers visit the library daily. 2. The most frequently used research support service is e-journals and online databases (90%), followed by print books and reference books (50%) and theses and dissertations (44%). Very few researchers use the Current Awareness Service, and none reported using the Inter-Library Loan or Research Consultation Service. 3. The study shows that 82% of the respondents are only partially aware of the research support services provided by the library. Only 12% are fully aware, while 6% are not aware at all. 4. Most respondents rated the availability of research journals and e-resources as Good (70%), indicating that the library has a satisfactory collection of research materials. 5. More than half of the respondents (54%) felt that access to online databases and digital repositories is good, while 34% rated it as average. 6. The internet and Wi-Fi facility received mixed responses. Most respondents (42%) rated it as average, and 22% rated it as poor. This indicates that internet speed and reliability need improvement. 7. Most respondents considered the library staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. About 42% rated the staff as good and 14% rated them as excellent. 8. The library timings and accessibility were generally acceptable, but many respondents (44%) rated them as average, suggesting that some improvements may be needed. 9. The availability of a quiet research reading space was rated as good by 46% of the respondents, while 38% rated it as average. 10. The biggest challenge faced by researchers is limited access to required journals and databases (62%). Other important problems include lack of awareness of available services (46%) and poor internet connectivity (46%). 11. The overall satisfaction level shows that 68% of the respondents were neutral, 28% were satisfied, and only 4% were very satisfied. No respondent reported being dissatisfied. These findings indicate that the library provides useful research support services, but there is still considerable scope for improvement, particularly in awareness, digital resources, and internet facilities. 36
5.2 Conclusion Academic libraries play an important role in supporting research by providing information resources, digital collections, and various research support services. The present study examined the research support services available in the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. The findings reveal that research scholars regularly use the library and are satisfied with the availability of research journals, e-resources, and online databases. The library staff are also considered helpful and supportive. These factors show that the library is making a positive contribution to research activities in the university. However, the study also identifies several areas that need improvement. A large number of researchers are only partially aware of the services offered by the library. Many respondents reported limited access to required journals and databases, poor internet connectivity, and the need for better awareness programmes. The overall satisfaction level being mostly neutral suggests that the library should further strengthen its research support services. In conclusion, the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Library provides a good foundation for research support, but greater efforts are needed to improve access to digital resources, increase awareness among users, enhance internet facilities, and introduce more specialized research support services. Continuous improvement in these areas will help researchers conduct better quality research and increase the overall academic performance of the university. 5.3 Suggestions Based on the findings of the study, the following suggestions are made: 1. The library should organize regular orientation programmes, workshops, and awareness campaigns so that research scholars become fully aware of all available research support services. 2. The university should subscribe to more national and international journals, e-books, and online databases to meet the research needs of scholars. 3. Internet and Wi-Fi facilities should be upgraded to provide faster and more reliable access to online resources. 4. More computers with updated software and high-speed internet should be provided in the library. 5. A separate and quiet research reading area should be developed for research scholars to provide a better study environment. 6. The library should introduce research consultation and reference support services to guide researchers in literature searching, citation management, and database searching. 37
7. Current Awareness Services (CAS) should be strengthened through e-mail alerts, library websites, social media, and mobile notifications to keep researchers informed about new resources. 8. Regular user feedback should be collected to identify users' needs and improve library services continuously. 9. Library staff should receive regular professional training to keep themselves updated with new technologies, research tools, artificial intelligence applications, and digital library services. 10. The library should promote the effective use of institutional repositories, plagiarism detection software, and reference management tools through practical training sessions. The implementation of these suggestions will improve the quality of research support services and help the library provide better support to research scholars and faculty members. 38
