This is the 2026 catalogue of Mabiang Seni Art Residency, a process-based art residency located twenty minutes from central Ubud, Bali. It presents artworks by resident artists, with prices in Indonesian Rupiah, for collectors, galleries, and art enthusiasts.
The catalogue opens with an introduction to the residency, its mission to nurture artists through dedicated space and dialogue, and its plans to launch an independent contemporary art gallery. It lists the residency's publications and exhibitions, including the yearly BERTAMU exhibition at the residency itself.
The first artist featured is Olen Riyanto, a Chinese-Indonesian multidisciplinary artist working with compositional drawings and soft sculptures. Her works in the catalogue include watercolor pieces on paper with custom teak wood frames, such as "It Was Inspired By Morandi" and "Colorful Abyss," each priced at IDR 7,150,000.
The second artist is Anroo (Roo), a Jakarta-born, Bali-based artist known for painting, sketching, and macrame using eco-friendly materials like raw cotton, rope, bamboo, and wood. Her works include acrylic on raw cotton canvas with macrame rope, such as "Three Part no. 1" at IDR 25,000,000 and "Lost and Found" at IDR 15,000,000.
The third artist is Erin İlkcan Aslan, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, installation, performance, sound, video, photography, and text. His work explores mythology, ritual, memory, nature, and altered states of perception, moving between Türkiye, Thailand, and Bali.
