Journal Entry #1Journal Entry #1 Monday, July 20, 2026 Giving Myself a Pedicureβ¨ I decided to do my toenails early today so I wouldn't procrastinate and end up feeling bugged every time I noticed they weren't done yet. Physically, it made me feel so much more comfortable β no more snagged socks, and my toes don't get sore anymore when I slip into my shoes. Mentally, it felt so satisfying to finally cross it off my checklist, even though I know there's still a mountain of other things waiting for me. Emotionally, I felt calmer and a little more confident, like I had my life a tiny bit more together just by having clean, tidy nails. It taught me that even the smallest self- care habits matter β they add up to help me feel more put- together and in control of my day, which honestly does wonders for my overall wellbeing.Finished Product β>
Journal Entry #2Journal Entry #2 Tuesday, July 21, 2026 Physics Projectile Motion Activity π Today my group and I did our performance task in Physics, and I was assigned as the data recorder and the one identifying where the ball landed. Physically, I was on my feet a lot β crouching to mark landing spots, walking back and forth to measure distances, and staying quick on my feet so I wouldn't miss the ball's exact point of impact. Mentally, I had to stay sharp and alert the whole time, tracking what my groupmates were doing so nothing slipped past me, which really kept my mind from wandering off. Emotionally, I felt a bit overwhelmed with everything happening around me and made a couple of small mistakes that embarrassed me for a second, but I chose not to dwell on it and just moved forward. This activity reminded me how much physical alertness and mental focus go hand in hand β staying present in my body actually helped me think more clearly, and that's a lesson I want to carry into other group tasks.
Journal Entry #3Journal Entry #3 Wednesday, July 22, 2026 Walking Around Campus with Friends & Futsal Practice πΆββοΈ β½ My friends and I spent some time today just walking around campus and catching up, and afterward I practiced futsal to prepare for Intrams, which left me pretty sweaty by the end. Physically, it felt good to finally get my steps in and move my body during my free time, though I realized fast that I need to build up my stamina since I started sweating profusely and got tired after only a few minutes of practice. Mentally, the walk with my friends cleared my head completely, and switching into futsal mode helped me sharpen my focus even more. Emotionally, I felt genuinely happy and fulfilled by the end of the day. This really opened my eyes to how much a little movement and time with friends can reset my whole mood β it's a gentle reminder that staying active isn't just about fitness, it's food for the mind and heart too.
Journal Entry #4Journal Entry #4 Thursday, July 23, 2026 Walking Around Campus with Faith & Futsal Practice πΆββοΈ β½ Today looked a lot like yesterday β Faith and I walked around campus together while I geared up for another futsal practice session for Intrams. Physically, I could feel my stamina slowly improving compared to yesterday, though I still worked up quite a sweat and needed a breather here and there. Mentally, walking and chatting with Faith gave me the same calm, clear-headed feeling as before, and I found myself locking into focus once the ball was at my feet. Emotionally, I ended the day content and light, grateful for both the company and the movement. Repeating this routine made me realize that consistency really is key β the more I show up for these small physical habits, the more naturally my body and mind seem to sync up together.
Journal Entry #5Journal Entry #5 Friday, July 22, 2026 Cleaning My Bed π I came home and noticed my bed was a total mess after I'd left it that morning, so I took the time to tidy it up properly. Physically, it involved slow, deliberate movements that were completely on my own pace, which felt like a nice contrast after such a busy day. Mentally, straightening everything out gave my brain a little breathing room β it's funny how tidying a small space can somehow tidy up my thoughts too. Emotionally, I felt fulfilled and clear-headed afterward, mostly because coming back to a clean, organized bed felt like a small reward I gave myself after a long day. It reminded me that taking care of my environment is its own form of self-care, and that even simple, unhurried tasks can help me decompress and reset both mentally and physically.BeforeBeforeBeforeAfterAfterAfter->->->
Journal Entry #6Journal Entry #6 Saturday, July 23, 2026 Building Blocks (Assembled Goofy and Pluto) and Word Search 𧩠Saturdays are my lazy days, so I kept things low-key by assembling building blocks β I finished Goofy and Pluto today β and solving a few word search puzzles, both of which turned out to be surprisingly therapeutic. Physically, my body got a much-needed rest, though my hands and fingers stayed lightly active as I clicked pieces together and scanned letters on the page. Mentally, these activities put me into a nice, focused flow state, quieting the usual noise in my head as I concentrated on finding the next piece or the next word. Emotionally, I felt relaxed and at peace, with a gentle sense of accomplishment every time I completed a figure or found a hidden word. This taught me that rest doesn't have to mean doing absolutely nothing β quiet, low-pressure activities like these are just as important for recharging my mind as physical exercise is for recharging my body.
Journal Entry #7Journal Entry #7 Sunday, July 22, 2026 NutriFit Walk for a Causeπ₯¬ The Girl Scouts of the Philippines were invited by the City Council to join the NutriFit Walk today, so we started at 4:30 in the morning, walked from Robinsons all the way to the Boulevard, and finally left the venue around 7:00 am. Physically, I only had about four hours of sleep and woke up at 3 am, and while I didn't feel tired at first, I grew lightheaded partway through the walk β our Girl Representative even noticed I looked "nangluspad." It hit me then just how much not eating breakfast and running on so little sleep can catch up with the body, no matter how prepared I think I am. Mentally, I could barely focus since my mind was fixed on one thing only: not fainting in front of a crowd. Emotionally, I felt overwhelmed trying to hold myself together, stay attentive, and keep pushing through all at once. This experience was a real wake-up call about how physical readiness β eating and resting β directly supports mental clarity and emotional steadiness, and I will definitely prepare better before my next event.
