ABOUT ME I’m Basma Mohammed Sami,I graduated from Faculty of engineering University of Alexandria in Alexandria,Egypt.I specialize in Management and Designing of Architectural projects , passionate about creating architecture that not only inspires and engages users and the general public but also incorporates intricate and connected plans with warm and welcoming 3D forms and elevations. The architecture is developed with a focus on creating separate yet connected building blocks through the use of bridges, pathways with equal offsets, and atriums to allow natural light through skylights, thus reducing energy consumption and creating a sustainable building. The community center is organized around the atrium—the highest block— which connects four functional blocks and drives the project’s concept and form while enhancing visual and physical connectivity. Structural systems and façades respond to function and climate through large-span sports structures, flexible flat slabs, shaded sports glazing with granite frames, a GRC-clad steel exoskeleton for the café and library, and timber louvers for classrooms.

50 BED HOSPITAL BURJ AL ARAB ALEXANDRIA EGYPT 2025 02 NORTH ELEVATION
Born from the logic of care, the hospital’s form is generated first as a deliberate spatial system that organizes all medical blocks into an interlocking composition, minimizing distances, clarifying circulation, and allowing doctors and staff to move with precision where seconds matter. Each wing branches like a living organism—emergency placed for immediate access, diagnostics and laboratories clustered for rapid decisions, surgical and ICU zones protected yet connected, outpatient areas welcoming, and patient wards aligned along calm edges open to light and views. Guided by environmental harmony, the architecture draws daylight deep inside, frames nature as a therapeutic element, and uses healthy materials and clean air strategies so the building itself supports healing. Set within a university district, it becomes both sanctuary and system—an architecture shaped by purpose, organized for efficiency, and composed to embody health while delivering essential care.

EXHIBITION HALL ALEXANDRIA EGYPT 2025 03 The form is generated as a composition of three interconnected volumes organized by function. A solid administrative mass and service layer use a flat slab system for spatial efficiency, while a transparent circular core—formed by a curtain wall and columns—acts as the reception and social nucleus, maximizing light and openness. The composition extends into an exhibition hall defined by repeated steel frames and a curved roof, creating a clear structural contrast that balances solidity, transparency, and fluidity.
