New to Washington or just need a refresher? Here are some topics that you may find helpful as you navigate this school year. Morning Routines Transportation Lunch Nurse After School Programming

Bus Riders Buses drop off and pick up on the sidewalk of Highland Ave. All students enter through the gym doors in the morning. Bus W & JJJ Only students that are scheduled to ride on the bus can ride.Bus Compass App If your child signed up to ride the bus, you will receive correspondence from the Transportation Department. If you have not previously signed up your child for transportation, contact your building’s administrative assistant to sign up. It will take up to two weeks from the time you enroll in transportation for you to receive an assignment.

Car Riders Car riders will dismiss through the back of Washington. Traffic will flow from Lafayette to Forest and into the circle lot. Pick up reminders: Pull up to the number Do not exit your vehicle Please pull up past the number and into the parking lot if you need to buckle your child in a car seat Please be patient! It will take time, but we will get moving!

Use front doors after 8:10 am MORNING CAR RIDERS

Walkers Walkers will exit the building at 3:10 through the north doors located on Maple St. Teachers will be located at each crosswalk to cross students. If you choose to have your students walk, please make sure they have a meet up spot in the neighborhood and/or know how to get to your house.

Please do not send medicine with your child. 01 02 Students must be fever and/or vomit-free for 24-hours before returning to school. Please bring any medication & immunization exemptions to open house/meet the teacher.

At Washington, we do not distribute birthday invitations, nor do we host birthday parties. We do not allow additional food on your child’s birthday (Cupcakes, Cookies, etc). We do not allow balloons/flowers to be delivered to students on any holiday/birthday. We encourage you to reach out through the grade level GroupMe to invite students to your child’s party. It makes it easy for the home room parent to speak with other parents, plan classroom parties, and overall communication during the year. GroupMe is monitored by a home room parent. Creative Cats Creative Cats An Afterschool Program for Everyone! 2026/2027 Registration Club Descriptions Our mission is to provide afterschool programming that all children can access. Clubs run from 3:10 to 4:30 Monday- Friday right here at Washington! Use this link to register your child for Creative Cats. Club fees keep our program running and allow scholarships for all children interested in Creative Cats. Use this link for club descriptions. Finding a club that fits your child’s interest is the most important part of a successful club experience. Our instructors provide fun and engaging programming.
