© Studio B1 2026 Theater Design Working with your team, we will conduct existing condition surveys and inspection of production technology systems. Our performance technical systems consulting will provide comprehensive analysis of existing conditions surveys, performance related technical systems including rigging, seating, sightline studies, stage machinery, theatrical drapery, pit lifts, orchestra shells, and performance lighting systems. We provide master planning; professional services Request for Proposal development; owner representation for facilities upgrades; and program analysis for performing arts centers including sightline studies and logistic analysis for multi-use venues. Assess We review existing conditions, study comparable spaces, and draw from past experience to evaluate opportunities. Progam Working collaboratively, we develop a needs analysis, space program, and pre-schematic design package. This becomes the project roadmap. Launch From start to finish, the project is led by a principal consultant who remains involved, ensuring your one-of-one project is executed at the highest level.

We start by listening to the owner — their administrative and artistic staffs, technicians and building committees. Informed by interviews, meetings, and direct observation, we help our clients realize their dreams through practical and innovative design solutions. We work closely with your team to develop a clear Needs Analysis, working Space Program, and Pre-Schematic Design package that will guide all future phases of the project. Drawing on lessons from comparable projects, site visits and/ or reference imagery from relevant performance spaces, and a range of design options, this phase establishes a strong, practical foundation for the work ahead. Studio B1 prides itself on the personal attention provided to each client and project. The project will be managed by a Principal Consultant, a partner, not only in the fi rm, but also a partner in your project, from fi rst meeting to last. Listen Through conversations, meetings, and observation with key stakeholders, we work to understand goals, priorities, and the vision for the project.
