The 110th Church Anniversary Litany…………………………………………… Sister Mamie Riley Leader: Almighty and Everlasting God, the architect of our salvation and the source of our strength, we gather in Your holy temple today with hearts overflowing with praise. For 110 years, You have anchored this vineyard in Your grace, shielding us through every storm and leading us into seasons of great joy. People: We give You thanks, O Lord, with our whole hearts! Out of all our trials, Your love has brought us safely this far. Leader: We pause to remember the legacy of Bishop Richard Allen and the brave mothers and fathers of African Methodism who, out of the darkness of systemic oppression, forged a path of spiritual liberty and social justice. We honor the foundational legacy of our ancestors who built this local church 110 years ago with prayer, hard work, and unshakeable conviction. People: We stand proudly on this foundation, thanking You for the cloud of witnesses whose faith gave us this rich inheritance. Leader: For 110 years, this church has served as a lighthouse in our community. We thank You for the pastors who have broken the bread of life, the officers who have stewarded the house, the choir members who have sung the songs of Zion, and every soul who has labored to make this place a sanctuary of hope and healing. People: By Your divine power, You have preserved us. To Jesus Christ be all the glory and praise! Leader: For 110 years, we have boldly proclaimed that God is our Father, Christ is our Redeemer, the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, and Humankind is our Family. Forgive us for the moments we have faltered and ignite a fresh fire within us to live as a truly liberating and reconciling people. People: Lord, hear our prayers. Revive our souls again and renew our commitment to personal and social holiness. Leader: As we close the chapter on 110 glorious years, we look ahead to the next horizon. Grant us the vision to face this present age with courage, the empathy to serve the hurting, and the boldness to take our ministry to the polls, the classrooms, the streets, and the global mission fields. People: Inspire our church with a fresh vision for the future and direct our steps in paths of righteousness. Leader: Keep our hands working, our feet moving toward justice, and our love pouring into the next generation. Protect us from divisiveness, keep us strong in unity, and let Your glory fill this house for decades to come. ALL: We recommit our whole selves to Your purpose. May Your Spirit continue to infuse our church with courage, hope, and grace as we celebrate 110 years of walking with God! Amen.
