A NOTE FROM OURFOUNDER & CEO MS. BRIANNA CEO, THE MUSE ACADEMY, As we move into the heart of summer, I want to take a moment to pause and express my deepest gratitude to each of you — our families and community — for the unwavering support you continue to show The Muse Academy. It truly means more than words can capture. I am excited to share that we are on the eve of a significant renovation at The Muse, and in preparation, we have thoughtfully scaled back our operations to ensure that this transition unfolds as smoothly as possible. Change is never without its challenges, but I believe wholeheartedly in what is being built here — and I know this next chapter will reflect the vision we've always held for this community. On a personal note, I want to provide a brief update on our beloved Ms. Maile, who remains on medical leave. We continue to hold her in our hearts and wish her nothing but healing and rest on her health journey. And in what was truly one of the sweetest moments of our summer — Ms. Maile surprised us all by showing up for our annual Mud Day! The joy on those little faces said everything. Her presence, even for a short time, reminded all of us why this community is so special. In Ms. Maile's continued absence, I am actively conducting a search for a director to help lead our team during this season. If any of our families know of a qualified and passionate candidate, I warmly welcome your referrals. Please direct them to reach me directly at bharvey@themuseacademylb.com. We are officially 56 days away from the start of our new school year — and while there is much work ahead, I am filled with confidence in this team and in everything we are becoming. To those of you who have reached out and offered your help: thank you. I will keep you all informed as opportunities to support this exciting phase arise. With gratitude and great anticipation,
I’m back with one of my favorite things to do, writing this newsletter and connecting with our wonderful Muse community! A warm hello to our same families, and a special hello to those who are new to The Muse Academy. For those I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Ms. A, and I’m the Enrollment Coordinator here at The Muse. I was part of the Muse family before taking a few months away, and it has been such a joy to return. Seeing familiar faces, meeting new families, and being greeted with smiles and hugs from the children has truly been the best welcome back. As the Enrollment Coordinator, I’m here to help families through every step of the enrollment process. I meet with prospective families, give tours, assist with enrollment paperwork, manage re- enrollments for the upcoming school year, and oversee other program forms. I also help currently enrolled families who are welcoming a new baby and are interested in enrolling another child at The Muse. And, of course, I have the pleasure of creating these monthly newsletters to help keep everyone connected and informed! If you ever have questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to help! You can email me anytime at enrollment@themuseacademylb.com. Lastly, if you have friends, family members, neighbors, or coworkers who are looking for quality child care, we'd be so grateful if you kept The Muse Academy in mind and sent them our way. Referrals from our wonderful families are one of the greatest compliments we can receive, and we truly appreciate your support. Thank you for being such an important part of our Muse community. I look forward to seeing you around campus and connecting with many of you throughout the year!Among all the summer fun, I wanted to share something personal because I I truly see you all like family. While I was away, I welcomed a baby who is currently in the NICU, and my mom passed away shortly after. I have learned so much about life in these short months and have learned the true beauty behind living and truly feeling. Behind every smile you see there’s a story going on that we may not know about, and that’s why kindness matters so much. Please keep teaching your little ones to be kind and to treat others the way they’d want to be treated. I’m amazed at how much everyone has grown, so many new walkers, talkers with full sentences, and graduates moving on to new milestones. It’s surreal and so special to witness. I’ve missed you all so much, and I’m grateful to be back. Here’s to a season of growth, gentleness, and lots of joy together. Hello, families, it’s Ms. A again!
Building Independence! One of the greatest gifts we can give children is the confidence to do things for themselves. Encouraging independence helps build self-esteem, problem- solving skills, and a sense of responsibility. Here are a few simple ways to foster independence at home: Let your child put on their own shoes or jacket. Encourage them to clean up toys after playtime. Allow them to help with simple chores, like setting the table or putting clothes in the hamper. Give them opportunities to make age-appropriate choices, such as picking between two outfits or choosing a snack. Remember, it may take a little extra time, but allowing children to practice these everyday skills helps them grow into confident, capable learners. Celebrate their efforts, not just the outcome!Parent Corner
