It has been a privilege and a pleasure working with you, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you have given to the Estate and its residents. Committee Positions Available Following the resignation of two of our Board Members, two positions are now available on the Committee. Property owners who are interested in serving on the Committee are welcome to submit their nominations and CVs to the REHOA office for consideration. A background or experience in security or law would be an advantage. We encourage interested owners to put their names forward and become involved in contributing to the continued improvement and well-being of our Estate. PARKS AND RECREATION UPDATEDISCOVER OUR LATEST WILDLIFE ARRIVALSWe are delighted to share some exciting news from our game camp! On 17 September, three female nyalas were introduced to the game camp, with two additional nyalas expected to join them soon. Our two male nyalas are already roaming the camp, and we look forward to seeing this beautiful group grow. Have you spotted them yet? THANK YOU We would like to thank Kurt Hakan for his generous donation. Through his contribution, we were able to purchase four Bosvlier (Forest Alder) trees, which are now thriving in Aristea Crescent. We truly appreciate this meaningful contribution and the positive impact it brings to our estate. PLANT TODAY, GROW TOMORROW New trees have recently been added to our estate, with a number of Sneezewood (Nieshout) trees planted along Nerine Crescent. These additions will enhance the natural beauty of the area and contribute to a greener environment. In addition, topsoil has been applied to the grassed areas to assist with recovery after the winter frost. This will also encourage stronger root growth, helping to maintain healthier lawns going forward.
Landscaping has recently been completed along the drainage channel by the dam, enhancing both the appearance and functionality of this area within the estate. BEFORE AFTER A second row of razor wire is currently being installed at the game camp, which will enhance safety and security for both the estate and the wildlife once completed. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jan Stander (Caretaker) and his team for their hard work and effort on this ongoing project. Razor wire installation
Introducing Our security TeamWe are pleased to introduce our new security team, who officially commenced duties in July, replacing SSS. These are the dedicated faces that warmly welcome you at the beautiful entrance to our Estate each day. The supervisory team on shift includes Ben Maila, David Rakgwale, and Samuel Myela, who bring valuable experience and leadership to the team. Following numerous meetings and careful consideration, CSC was appointed through a thorough tender process, proving to be the ideal company to meet the Estate’s specific requirements. They are fully equipped with the resources and expertise that the Board was seeking. Residents will also note the presence of a reaction team conducting patrols in and around the Estate at various times throughout the day, further enhancing overall security. We have recently encountered several incidents of vandalism and damage to Estate property. These facilities, structures, and security measures are in place for the well-being of all residents, especially to ensure that children have a safe and enjoyable environment in which they can play freely. Unfortunately, damage has been noted at the children’s castle, where the glass windows has been broken, as well as at the pool area, where sections of the palisade fencing have been damaged. It is deeply disappointing to see a lack of respect for shared spaces that are provided for the benefit of the entire community. Should any resident have information regarding these incidents, we kindly request that you come forward. Accountability is important in maintaining the standard of our Estate. Following a recent private celebration within Roberts Estate, the Association received a number of complaints relating to parking and traffic obstruction, driving behaviour, excessive hooting at the Estate entrance, noise during Sunday quiet hours, and visitor access-control procedures. The matter was reviewed in accordance with the Estate Rules, and fines totalling *R4,750* were imposed for confirmed contraventions: * *R1,000* – Security access-control breach * *R750* – Reckless driving * *R750* – Visitors/vehicles causing obstruction or nuisance * *R750* – Disturbance during Sunday quiet hours * *R750* – Excessive hooting at the Estate entrance/exit * *R750* – Parking, traffic and road obstruction The purpose of this notice is simply to remind residents that the Estate Rules apply to private functions and gatherings, as well as to the residents' visitors and guests. Residents hosting functions are requested to ensure that their guests comply with the Estate's requirements relating to parking, traffic, responsible driving, noise, security and visitor access procedures. Residents are also reminded that visitors should follow the prescribed access-control process and that security procedures should not be bypassed. The Association appreciates that residents may wish to host celebrations and social gatherings. By ensuring that guests are familiar with and comply with the Estate Rules, residents can help minimise inconvenience to neighbours and maintain a safe, secure and pleasant environment for everyone. *Thank you for your cooperation and consideration of fellow residents.* PRIVATE FUNCTIONS & VISITORS CONDUCT
SWIMMING SEASON As the swimming season approaches, we would like to remind all residents of the pool rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Pool hours are from 08:00 to 20:00 daily. Children who are unable to swim must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We kindly request that all residents keep the pool area clean and tidy, and respect the shared space for the benefit of the entire community. POOL USAGE As the rainy season sets in, recent severe weather conditions have resulted in damage to some properties within the estate. Residents are reminded to ensure that regular maintenance is carried out on their homes to prevent weather-related damage. It has been noted that fascia boards on some properties have been damaged or blown off by strong winds, and untreated garage doors have been stained due to heavy rainfall. Maintaining and treating all exterior woodwork will assist in preventing further deterioration and help uphold the overall standard of the estate. In addition, residents are requested to maintain their gardens and pavements, as overgrowth of shrubs and weeds has been observed on a number of properties. Furthermore, within The Roberts Reveal, an information document has been included providing important details regarding El Niño and its potential impact. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the appearance and standards of the estate. WEATHER AND MAINTENANCE UPDATE
IMPORTANT: COMPLIANCE WITH ESTATE ENTRY AND EXIT PROCEDUREResidents are kindly reminded that all pedestrians and cyclists must make use of the designated turnstile when entering or exiting the estate. This measure is essential to ensure effective monitoring and to maintain the safety and security of all residents. It has also been noted that some motorcyclists are bypassing the boom gate by slipping through without scanning. Please be advised that this is a breach of the estate’s access control rules. All such incidents are recorded, and non-compliance may result in fines being issued. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these procedures, as they play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone. SHARED DOMESTIC AND GARDEN WORKERSResidents are kindly requested to inform the Estate Office if their domestic or garden worker is employed at more than one residence within the estate. This allows us to correctly capture the necessary details on our system. The purpose of this process is to ensure that you receive accurate notifications regarding the days your worker is scheduled to work at your property. Please provide the worker’s allocated working days, the relevant property address, and a copy of their ID. This requirement applies only to workers shared between multiple households. PAINT & DINE AT ROBERTS LITTLE LATTE LANE We are pleased to share the success of our very first Paint and Dine evening, presented by Riette from Art House. Guests enjoyed lovely food and drinks, lots of laughter, and the opportunity to explore beautiful painting talent in a relaxed and creative setting.
