Most of the students' passions are about being an artist in general, whether it's going to be about making music, paintings, sketches, and photography; Which are the careers that are stereotyped as the careers that are not guaranteed to give you a good future because you won't be able to determine if your art pieces will get the recognition to be able to gain profit. However, students should be able to decide for themselves instead of feeling pressured to choose a course that they don't even like just for the sake of being practical and ensuring a good future because they need to be financially stable.Should we set aside our passion just to be practical in life? Choosing a practical career can lead to a brighter future, but not all practical careers lead to a source of happiness— especially if this is not what we want to do. A lot of students who came from a well-off family are pressured to follow their parents' paths, despite having dreams of their own because the other career offers a larger salary than their preferred career.

Research mentions that majority of the students chose a practical career due to parental influence because there are parents who prioritize financial stability over their child's personal interests. However, another research mentions that those who chose to pursue their passion overpowers the students who chose practicality—it is also a win to win once you've become successful by doing something you actually love. Moreover, having supportive parents can be motivating and offers guidance throughout the journey of pursuing your dream.Making a career out of something we love and becomes successful is a dream come true, you can earn profit while also doing something you love which can make the course less draining and give you the determination to work more instead of letting your chosen course affect your mental health due to how stressful it can be overtime. Yes, supplies can be expensive but it can be a big investment, In addition, you can get the supplies once the price goes down, a lot of artists do that to avoid spending too much while still getting quality products.

Therefore, students should be able to freely chase and pursue their own dreams or passions without having to feel the need of sacrificing them to meet their needs by choosing a much practical career to ensure a successful future. Choosing a career out of peer pressure can make you drained as time goes by compared to when you choose the career you're interested in and dedicate your whole heart for it to be successful. The amount of expenses you may spend on the materials is considered as an investment once you've succeeded, therefore you can still be practical when you choose to chase your dreams. We should pursue our dreams instead of choosing what we are pressured to choose just because it is what we need, because a normal life with happiness is better than a life full of wealth without passion and dedication.

In life, sometimes choosing what you want feels nice instead of being pressured to always prioritize what you need. We should not give up on our dream just to be financially stable and yet you are not happy and content with your life. Having wealth provides your needs but it doesn't give the same joy that your dreams provide.ReflectionReflectionReflection
