ChannelPlus H27XL Series 2 User Instructions

This leaflet provides instructions for installing, programming, and operating the ChannelPlus H27XL Series 2 two-channel programmer. It covers display features, default settings, time and date adjustment, clock options, channel headings, programme times, holiday mode, override facilities, boost and advance functions, and reset procedures.

This document is a user instruction leaflet for the ChannelPlus H27XL Series 2 two-channel programmer, manufactured by Horstmann Controls Limited. It is intended for users who need to set up and operate the programmer for controlling heating and hot water schedules.

The leaflet begins with a product overview and display information. It describes the fully graphical back-lit display, which shows the current time of day, day of week, channel heading, current channel programme, and next channel switch time. LED indicators provide visual feedback for user operations and channel status.

Instructions cover adjusting the time and date, clock options (24-hour or AM/PM), and channel headings (Heating, Hot Water, Zones, or Channels). Default settings are factory preset, including a 24-hour clock and standard headings. The programmer has been pre-set with the current time and date during manufacture.

The document explains how to set the programme times, with default times provided for weekdays (Monday to Friday) and weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Each independent channel can be set to provide up to three on and off operations per day on a weekly schedule. The holiday mode suspends the programme function and can be set in advance.

Override facilities include Auto, All Day, On, and Off modes for each channel. The Boost function provides a temporary 1 or 2 hour override, and the Advance function moves to the next on or off operation. The reset procedure restores factory settings and defaults the time to 1st January 2005.

General information includes battery service details, noting the programmer is not user serviceable and contains a non-rechargeable long life battery. In case of display issues, users are directed to the resetting section or to contact a heating engineer or qualified electrician.
