In the cloak of darkness, the world undergoes a profound transformation, shedding the noise and chaos of the day to unveil a serene stillness. “Abnormal Nights” is a visual exploration that seeks to capture the stillness of San Diego neighborhoods under the shroud of darkness. Through a series of meticulously composed and curious images of the city streets, endeavors to illuminate the often unseen facets and the beauty found in the quietude of San Diego metropoli- tan night, revealing the hidden layers of the city’s eccentricities and simplicity. The project delves into the everyday visions, the dimly lit streets, peculiar lighting, and the unconventional juxtapositions that characterize the urban nightscape. Each photograph seeks to encapsu- late the essence of solitary nightscapes, evoking a sense of introspec- tion and contemplation amidst the profound stillness. Through the lens of the camera, “Abnormal Nights” unveils the city’s dual nature, juxtaposing the dynamic of metropolitan life with the serenity that descends when the world is enveloped in darkness inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the curious interplay of light and shadows. This series aims to capture the beauty in the unknown from the familiar neighborhoods of San Diego. It aims to captivate the audi- ence and take them on a journey through the city at night as they expe- rience the side streets and quiet happenings of the city where nightlife doesn’t exist. From the downtown city streets to the dimly lit parks in quiet college neighborhoods, “Abnormal Nights’’ shows the serenity that lies in the city when the sun goes down.
