My name is Faith R. Epoc, a Grade 12 HUMSS student who finds joy in expressing emotions and ideas through words, especially through writing poetry. I see writing as a way to turn my thoughts and feelings into something meaningful and beautiful. Beyond writing, I love to dance, sing, do my makeup, dress up, and express my creativity in different ways. I also value my academics and always strive to learn, improve, and give my best in everything I do. I consider myself a strong and independent woman who is continuously growing, learning, and becoming better day by day. I know I am still discovering myself and figuring out the person I want to become, but I embrace every experience, challenge, and lesson along the way. I am a work in progress, and I am proud of the person I am becoming. Faith R. Epoc 12 — HUMSS 17 years old SAN RAFAEL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Creative writingMy personal profile

My own PoemBecoming more of Me I may not be the best, But surely I will be on my fullest. And you can do the rest. I may not be the prettiest yet, But my long like Rapunzel with thick shiny hair is my asset, And you all may not forget. I am beautiful the way I used to be, Like no one could ever see, The purest inside me.#1

Finding Light He was lost in the dark, He could not find his spark. Hoping to discover light, That will surely shine so bright. Away from the storm, Still afraid and forlorn. Hoping it will set him free, From the darkness he could not see. He searched for hope along the way, Waiting for a brighter day. Until he found the strength to be, The purest version of who he could be.#2

Fictional StoryThe Girl Who Chased the City Once upon a time, a family of six lived peacefully in a small village. Their youngest daughter, Mira, dreamed of seeing the bright city she had only heard about in stories. One morning, Mira secretly left home and followed the road to the city. She was amazed by the tall buildings and glowing lights, but soon the noisy streets and thick smoke made her wish for home. That night, Mira looked at the city lights and realized that they were not as beautiful as the warmth of her family. She returned home, hugged her family, and learned that sometimes, the greatest adventure is discovering where you truly belong.

Beauty and the BeastOnce upon a time in a faraway land, there was a girl named Belle who lived with her mother. Belle loved to read and she loved flowers. One day, Belle received an anonymous message sent by the birds. It was from a guy. Michelle the bird: You have a message. Beauty: Thank you. Belle: Oh, who is this guy? Then Belle also sent messages back through the birds. Andress: This girl is beautiful. I like her and I want to meet her someday. Claree: Oh, feels like someone’s in love. Maureen: He’s smiling, he’s blushing. Aeyeeee. Andress: Hell no, I don’t have a girlfriend. One morning, Andress decided to meet Belle because he wanted to be her boyfriend. They met in a garden. Andress: Hello! Belle: Oh hi, are you Andress? Andress: I’m Andress. I want to be your friend if that’s okay. Belle: Sure, I’d also like to be your friend. Days passed and Andress and Belle talked a lot. Little did they know, they were both falling in love. Belle: Andress, I want to meet you in person. Andress: Are you sure about that? Belle: Yes, I’m sure. Please come to my house on December 3 and I’ll introduce you to my mother. Narrator: Andress felt very nervous because he was insecure about himself.

After a few months, Andress went to Belle’s house and Belle waited for him outside. Belle: Hi Andress, nice meeting you again. Come in! Andress: Hello, Belle. (shy) Belle: You’re so handsome. Andress: Are you sure? You’re not kidding, right? Belle: Yes. Belle’s mom appeared. Belle: Oh, Mom, there you are. I want you to meet my boyfriend. Leonora: Oh my gosh, he’s your boyfriend?? Belle: Yes, Mom. I love him. Andress: Hi, I’m Andress. Bless. Leonora: I don’t like him. Stay away from him, okay? I don’t want to see him near you. Belle: But Mom, I like him so much. Please, Mom. Belle: If you don’t want him, fine. I don’t like you either. Leonora: What, you’d replace me for that face???? Belle: Yes, Mom. And it’s not about the face. It’s about the kindness in his heart. Belle and Andress went outside and lived far away. After a few months, they had a baby named Mille and raised him with kindness and happiness in his heart. Narrator: Andress finally found the courage to accept himself as he is. At last, he wasn’t insecure and he built his self-confidence. Because he finally realized that appearance doesn’t matter at all. What matters most is having a good heart, and that’s what’s important. So both Andress and Belle lived happily ever after. THE END.

TEN YEARS FROM NOW: THE WOMAN I ASPIRE TO BE Ten years from now, I see myself as a successful and compassionate nurse working abroad, living independently and building a fulfilling life through the career I have worked hard for. I imagine myself caring for patients with kindness, patience, and dedication while continuing to learn and grow in my profession. By then, I hope to have achieved many of my dreams, supported my family, and made them proud of everything I have accomplished. I know the journey toward becoming a nurse will not always be easy, but I am willing to face every challenge with courage and determination. I want to become a woman who is confident, responsible, independent, and grateful for how far she has come. Most importantly, I hope that ten years from now, I can look back at the girl I am today and proudly say, “I never gave up on my dreams.”
