2 INTRODUCTION Matahom Paradise Villas is a Bali-inspired beach resort located in Barangay Kawit, Medellin, Cebu. Known for its peaceful atmosphere, white-sand beachfront, and beautifully designed villas, the resort offers guests a relaxing escape from the busy pace of city life. The name “Matahom,” a Cebuano word meaning beautiful, reflects the resort’s commitment to providing a scenic and memorable vacation experience. (Sugbo) The resort features private villas, glamping accommodations, an infinity pool, and various recreational activities, making it an ideal destination for families, couples, and groups of friends. Its picturesque surroundings, ocean views, and modern amenities create a perfect setting for relaxation, celebrations, and weekend getaways. Matahom Paradise Villas has become one of Northern Cebu’s popular tourist destinations, offering visitors a tropical paradise with a unique blend of comfort, nature, and hospitality.

3 THE ESTABLISHMENTMatahom Paradise Villas is a Bali-inspired beach resort situated in Barangay Kawit, Medellin, Cebu. The resort caters to both local and international guests seeking relaxation, leisure, and memorable vacation experiences. With its combination of modern facilities and natural beauty, Matahom Paradise Villas has become one of the preferred destinations in Northern Cebu for family vacations, romantic getaways, corporate events, and special celebrations. The resort operates through five main departments that work together to provide efficient and high-quality guest services. The Front Office Department serves as the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, guest inquiries, and customer assistance. The Housekeeping Department is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms, villas, and public areas to ensure a pleasant stay for every visitor. The Kitchen Department prepares and cooks a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety. The Bar Department offers a selection of beverages, including refreshing drinks and cocktails, while providing friendly and efficient service to guests. The Restaurant Department delivers quality dining experiences by serving meals promptly, attending to customer needs, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. In addition to these departments, Matahom Paradise Villas features amenities such as a beachfront location, swimming pool, event spaces, recreational facilities, and beautifully designed villas that enhance the overall guest experience. The resort emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service, enabling every department to contribute to its goal of providing a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for all guests. I. FRONT OFFICE DEPARTMENT Functions: Guest Reception and Check-in/Check-out. Welcoming guests, confirming reservations, processing check-ins, and handling check-outs, including payment and room key management. Reservation Management. Handling room bookings via phone, email, or online platforms, managing overbookings, cancellations, and special requests. Guest Services. Providing information about the hotel, local attractions, and services; handling guest complaints and inquiries, and assisting with transportation, dining, and activity reservations. Communication Hub. Coordinating with other departments to ensure guest requests (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) are fulfilled promptly. Billing and Cash Handling. Managing guest folios, processing payments, and handling any financial transactions related to guest stays. RESPONSIBILIIES AND FUNCTIONS 8

Responsibilities:: Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service. Ensure accurate and timely check-ins and check-outs. Maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation system. Handle guest effectively. concerns or complaints promptly and; Coordinate closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness. II.HUMAN RESOURCES Functions: Human Resources Management. Recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee benefits, training, and compliance with labor laws. Financial Management. Overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, accounts processing Legal Compliance. Ensuring all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including labor laws, safety regulations, and tax obligations. Strategic Planning. Assisting with the development and implementation of long-term business strategies and goals. 9

Responsibilities:: Ensure smooth operation of all administrative processes. Oversee and manage all financial aspects, ensuring the resort operates within budget Handle all HR functions, including employee relations, training, and development. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Support other departments by providing necessary resources and administrative support. III. KITCHEN DEPARTMENT Functions: .Prepares and cooks food according to the restaurant’s menu and standards. Ensures food quality, taste, and presentation are consistent. * Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. Stores food properly to ensure freshness and prevent contamination. Monitors inventory and requests kitchen supplies when needed. 10

Responsibilities:: Follows food safety and hygiene regulations. Coordinates with the restaurant and bar staff to ensure timely food service. Minimizes food waste and practices cost control. Maintains kitchen equipment and reports any repairs needed. Assists in menu planning and the development of new dishes. 11

12 IV. HOUSEKEEPING DEPARTMENT Functions: Room Cleaning and Maintenance. Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, including bed-making, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies. Public Area Cleaning. Maintain cleanliness in all public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities. Laundry Services. Manage the laundering of linens, towels, and guest clothing (if offered). Turn-Down Service. Provide evening room preparation, including bed turndown and replenishment of amenities. Responsibilities:: Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. Manage laundry operations efficiently to meet guest needs and maintain inventory. Report any maintenance issues to the engineering department. Coordinate closely with the front office to ensure room availability.

13 V. RESTO/ BAR Functions: Welcomes and serves guests in a friendly and professional manner. Takes and processes food and beverage orders accurately. Serves meals and drinks promptly and efficiently. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar areas. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities:: Ensures guests receive excellent customer service throughout their visit. * Handles guest inquiries, requests, and complaints courteously. * Processes billing and payments accurately. * Coordinates with the kitchen to ensure orders are served correctly and on time. * Follows responsible alcohol service policies and maintains health and safety standards.

28 Maria Lyn Juliet R. CompuestoCompleting my 300-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Matahom Paradise Villas was a valuable and rewarding experience. Throughout my training, I gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the daily operations of the establishment, particularly in working with different departments such as the Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Restaurant, and Bar. This experience allowed me to apply the theories and skills I learned in school to real workplace situations. My OJT also helped me develop important qualities such as professionalism, responsibility, teamwork, communication, and time management. By interacting with guests and working alongside experienced staff, I became more confident in handling tasks and providing quality customer service. I also learned the importance of maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and efficiency to ensure guest satisfaction. Overall, my internship at Matahom Paradise Villas has been an important step in my personal and professional growth. I am grateful to the management and staff for their guidance, support, and the opportunity to learn from them. The knowledge, skills, and experiences I gained during my 300-hour OJT will serve as a strong foundation for my future career in the hospitality industry.

29 Decelou RososDuring my on the job Training at the Matahom Paradise Villas, was highly rewarding experience. It allowed me to apply my class knowledge to real world hospitality operation, specially in delivering excellent customer service and managing guest relations. Through this training, I developed crucial skills in communication, Teamwork, and problem solving under pressure during peak resort hour. This experience has significantly boosted my confidence and passion for the hospitality Industry, making me fully prepared for my future professional career.

Compuesto Based on my 300-hour On-the-Job Training experience at Matahom Paradise Villas, I recommend that the establishment continue providing trainees with meaningful hands-on learning opportunities in different departments. Allowing interns to rotate across various areas of operation helps them develop a broader understanding of the hospitality industry and enhances their practical skills. It is also recommended that regular orientation, guidance, and constructive feedback be provided to trainees throughout their internship. This will help them improve their performance, build confidence, and better understand professional workplace standards. Maintaining a supportive and positive working environment will encourage trainees to perform their responsibilities effectively and develop a strong work ethic. For future OJT students, I recommend approaching the internship with dedication, professionalism, and a willingness to learn. They should take every opportunity to ask questions, accept constructive criticism, and actively participate in daily operations. By doing so, they will gain valuable knowledge, strengthen their skills, and prepare themselves for a successful career in the hospitality industry. Overall, the partnership between educational institutions and establishments like Matahom Paradise Villas should continue to be strengthened, as it provides students with valuable real-world experiences that complement their academic learning and prepare them for future employment.

32 Decelou Rosos Based on the Training experience, I highly recommend Matahom Paradise Villas Resort tourist seeking relaxing, high quality beach resort vacation. The resort excels in providing excellent customer service, well maintained private villas, beautiful beachfront view specially their class house villas. To further improve guest satisfaction, I recommend that the resort streamline it's check- in process during peak hours and consider lowering corkage fees for outside food, overall Matahom Paradise Villas is an excellent destination that guarantee a memorable stay for families and group.
