I'd been struggling with keloid scars for five or six years and had tried everywhere for help. Since starting treatment here, I've seen a big improvement — and it isn't just the treatment itself, the team have been a huge source of support too. They've helped me more than I can put into words.” — Jean Claude, Patient

WHAT IS AKELOID SCAR?A keloid is a benign (non-cancerous) overgrowth of scar tissue that forms where the skin has healed after an injury. It grows beyond the edges of the original wound It can feel firm or raised to the touch It isn't dangerous, but it can be persistent — and may return if it isn't managed with the right long-term approachImportant to know: Keloids are not cancerous — but they are known to be persistent, which is why long-term management matters.Removing a keloid without a recurrence-prevention plan significantly increases the chance it will come back. That's why we always pair removal with a structured aftercare programme.

If you experience unusual bleeding outside clinic hours, please go to your nearest NHS A&E department, then let us know.

Known risks of injection treatment include skin thinning, lightening or darkening of the skin, visible blood vessels, discomfort, infection, recurrence, and (rarely) allergic reaction or systemic steroid effects. Known risks of VBEam laser include temporary redness and swelling, bruising lasting 7-14 days, pigmentation changes, blistering, crusting, texture changes, and (rarely) scarring. Darker skin tones may have a higher risk of pigmentation change. Protective eyewear must be worn throughout laser treatment and not removed from the session. Not following aftercare guidance, not including accurate medical information, can affect your results and down it entirely to you to a refund or free corrective treatment.1About Your Treatment and PricingKeloid injection treatment uses corticosteroid injections, often alongside 5-fluourouracil, to reduce the size, thickness and symptoms of a keloid scar. Where suitable, VBEam laser may be used alongside or instead of injections — it targets blood vessels in the scar to reduce redness and thickness, and may ease iching or tenderness. Your clinician may recommend combining both for the best results: the number of sessions needed depends on your scar and how you respond.Your treatment plan and pricing have been explained to you, and you've had the chance to ask questions before going aheadThe exact number of sessions may change based on your clinician's assessment as treatment progressInjection and VBEam sessions are charged separately unless a package has been agreed in writing in advancePAYMENT TERMSRESULTS, GUARANTEES AND OUR REFUND POLICYT E R M S , C O N S E N T & C O M P L A I N T SBY PROCEEDING WITH TREATMENT, YOU CONFIRM:Full payment is required before treatment begins Payment methods are confirmed at the time of booking; all prices include VAT where applicable You'll receive a clear breakdown of costs as part of your treatment plan Deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from your total treatment costTreatment outcomes can be affected by many factors — your skin type, the size and age of the scar, genetics, lifestyle, medical history, and how closely the aftercare plan is followed. Because of this, we can't guarantee a specific result. No refund is given if results are limited, absent, or if complications occur — this reflects the genuine uncertainty involved in any medical or aesthetic treatment. Keloid scars are known to be resistant to treatment and can incur. We'll make sure you have realistic expectations before you begin.
