TAI CHI AT GWCC Page 3www.gwccentre.co.uk Mondays at 11.15am Following a break of several months we were delighted to welcome back Dr Phil Neville with his very popular Tai Chi classes. Due to demand, Phil’s classes have moved into the auditorium, providing a stunning backdrop to his gentle exercise class that can be completed either seated or standing, making it perfect for all ages and abilities. Classes take place on Monday mornings at 11.15am and cost £6 per session To book your place, please contact the instructor directly via email p.neville@btinternet.com
Page 4www.gwccentre.co.uk AFTER SCHOOL STEM CLUB AT GWCC Join us each Wednesday afternoon at 3.30pm during school term time for this fantastic After School STEM Club. So far our pupils have explored magnetic force, engineering design and teamwork through a Magnet Maze Builders Challenge. Also exploring how forces, motion and simple engineering design work by building and testing their own balloon powered cars, as well as building water rafts and powering them with Newton’s Third law, action, reaction and lots of splashy fun. Due to the high demand for places, we are pleased that STEM Discovery Academy are looking at the possibility of adding in a second class at Great Western Community Centre. This is a full body, low impact Mat Pilates class designed to help improve posture, build flexibility, increase mobility and enhance overall body awareness. Expect purposeful, controlled movement that will leave you feeling stronger, more balanced and refreshed. We are a friendly informal bowling group who meet each Thursday from 10am to midday. The cost per session is only £2, and that includes tea and coffee.
