4 This year has been a defining moment for our Board of Trustees as we worked together to strengthen the systems, partnerships, and supports that ensure every student in Henry County has access to a high‑quality education. Serving as Board President has reaffirmed my belief that effective governance is not simply about oversight — it is about stewardship, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the success of every learner in our district. “Strong governance creates strong outcomes — for students, for families, and for our community.” Our work is grounded in the understanding that strong schools are built through intentional leadership and community trust. Throughout the year, the Board remained focused on aligning resources with student needs, supporting instructional excellence, and ensuring that our policies reflect the values and aspirations of the families we serve. These priorities guide every decision we make, from long‑term planning to day‑to‑day operations, and they continue to shape the direction of our district. The Henry County Public Schools Foundation plays a vital role in this mission. Through scholarships, educator grants, and community‑driven initiatives, the Foundation extends our reach and amplifies our impact. We are deeply grateful for the donors, partners, and volunteers whose generosity fuels this important work. 5 Letter From Our Superintendent This year has been a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community stands united behind its students. Every classroom, every school, and every educator across our district contributed to a year defined by growth, resilience, and meaningful progress. As Superintendent, I have the privilege of witnessing firsthand the determination and brilliance our students bring to their learning each day — and it continues to inspire the work we do on their behalf. “Our students rise when we rise to meet their needs”. Our partnership with the Henry County Public Schools Foundation has been instrumental in expanding opportunities for students and strengthening the support systems that help them thrive. Through innovative classroom grants, enhanced learning tools, and targeted student enrichment initiatives, the Foundation has helped us remove barriers and open new pathways to success. These investments reflect a shared belief that every child deserves access to the resources, experiences, and encouragement that allow them to reach their full potential. This year, we also deepened our commitment to equity and excellence. We focused on ensuring that every student — regardless of background, circumstance, or learning style — has access to high‑quality instruction and a supportive school environment. We will continue strengthening our academic programs, investing in our educators, and expanding opportunities that prepare students for college, careers, and lifelong success. The progress we celebrate today is only possible because of the families, staff, partners, and supporters who believe in our mission and stand with us each step of the way. 6 This inaugural year of the Henry County Public Schools Foundation has been a monumental journey — one defined by purpose, partnership, and the unwavering belief that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive. As the founding Director, I am honored to lead an organization built on the conviction that education is the most powerful investment we can make in the future of Henry County. “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” From the moment the Foundation launched, our mission has been clear: to remove barriers, expand opportunities, and strengthen the learning experiences of every student across our district. This year, we laid the groundwork for a sustainable, community‑driven foundation that supports innovative teaching, celebrates educator excellence, and ensures students have access to the tools and resources that help them reach their full potential. Our progress has been made possible by the generosity of donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the collaboration of district leaders who share our vision for student success. Together, we funded classroom grants that sparked creativity, supported enrichment programs that broadened horizons, and launched initiatives that uplifted students who needed it most. Each investment — whether large or small — has contributed to a stronger, more equitable educational landscape for our community. As we reflect on this first year, I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished and energized by the possibilities ahead. The Foundation is committed to building on this momentum by expanding partnerships, increasing our impact, and continuing to serve as a bridge between our schools and the broader community. Our work is just beginning, and the future we are shaping together is bright. Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting our students, and standing with us as we build a legacy of opportunity and excellence. Families, local professionals, and business partners can make a tangible difference without increasing their out‑of‑pocket expenses, creating a sustainable and renewable funding stream for the Foundation’s work.
