In a big, sunny garden, there lived a tiny brown seed. The seed was quiet. The seed was still.
"I am very small," said the seed. "I want to be big!"
One day, the sky turned gray. Drip, drop, splash! Rain fell on the garden.
The ground felt cool and soft. The little seed drank the water. Gulp, gulp, gulp!
The sun came out, bright and warm. It tickled the ground. The little seed felt a wiggle.
Pop! A tiny green shoot poked out of the dirt. "Hello, Sun! Hello, Sky!" said the little shoot.
It stretched up tall. It grew one leaf. Then, it grew two leaves. It was reaching for the blue sky.
Weeks went by. The shoot grew a long, strong stem. It grew big, beautiful, yellow petals. It was a tall, happy sunflower!
little bee flew by. Buzz, buzz! "What a beautiful flower!" The little seed was not little anymore. It was big, bright, and very happy.
