EXPERIENCE My professional journey has allowed me to explore architecture through design, technical documentation, sustainability, and real-world project processes. From municipal submissions and working drawings to eco-tourism, heritage documentation, and interior design, each experience has strengthened my understanding of how ideas evolve into practical architectural solutions. My internship at Dilip Deshmukh & Associates introduced me to the technical and regulatory aspects of architecture, including municipal drawings, working drawings, documentation, and approval processes. As a Junior Architect at Green Arch Associates, I have expanded my experience into sustainable and context-responsive design, working across areas such as rainwater harvesting, eco-tourism development, heritage documentation, research, and architectural presentations. PANDIT FARM ECO RESORT A nature-integrated retreat set within a 5- acre paddy landscape in Asu, Karnataka. The project explores low- impact tourism by preserving the existing agricultural landscape and integrating architecture with the site's river, vegetation, and tropical context. A combination of tents, cottages, villas, and community spaces creates an immersive resort experience rooted in nature, local identity, and sustainable design.
Location Asu Village, Karnataka Site Area 5 Acres DESIGN CONCEPT The primary concept is to celebrate the existing paddy landscape and the slow, rural life of Asu village, bulit places are placed lighly on the land to maintain visual openness, preserve cultivation and create uninterrupted views of nature. The architectural uses natural materials sloping roofsand shaded spaces to blend with the surroundings. The site is defined by its river edge, existing paddy fields and dense vegetation. The river provides scenic views, while the existing trees act as a natural buffer against the harsh southern and south-western sun. Prevailing winds from the south-west support natural ventilation across the open paddy landscape. The masterplan therefore preserves the paddy field and river edge, retains vegetation, and places built zones around the landscape to create a climate- responsive and nature- integrated resort. TOPOGRAPHY Gentle slope towards the river edge SITE IMAGES SITE ENTRY TRENCH NEAR ENTRY RIVER PADDY FIELD ZONING • The river edge is retained as a natural ecological buffer, while the paddy field remains the central landscape element around which the resort experience is organised. • A continuous pedestrian trail connects the different zones, extending towards the river and culminating in a canopy walkway above the river, creating an immersive connection with the surrounding landscape. • . • Public and active functions such as the reception, shop, restaurant, cottages, tents, and event lawn are placed along the main access. In contrast, quieter spaces, such as the meditation zone and villas, are situated deeper within the landscape.
M A S T E R P L A N The villas are designed as private retreats within the paddy landscape, offering views of the fields, river, and tropical surroundings while maintaining privacy through landscape buffers The existing paddy field is retained as the heart of the resort, preserving its rural character and agricultural landscape. A pedestrian walk runs through the fields, allowing guests to experience the changing textures, sounds, and seasonal character of the paddy landscape. The pathway creates a slow, immersive journey between the villas and shared spaces, while framing views of the surrounding greenery and river. This walk becomes an experiential element of the resort, connecting visitors closely with the natural and cultural context of the site. The tents offer an immersive stay amidst nature, with lightweight semi-open structures that provide comfort, privacy, and a direct connection to the surrounding landscape. The souvenir shop connects the resort with local culture, offering handcrafted products and regional artifacts while welcoming visitors at the entrance. The cottages provide private accommodation integrated with the landscape, offering natural views, ventilation, and a peaceful retreat surrounded by greenery. The restaurant is designed as a landscape- oriented dining space, surrounded by paddy fields and tropical greenery, offering an open connection with nature while dining. The meditation zone is placed in a quiet, secluded setting, creating a calm space for reflection and connection with nature. The entrance creates a gradual transition into the resort, using shaded pathways, vegetation, and framed views to introduce the natural landscape. F I R E M E M O R I A L A National Tribute Honouring Courage, Sacrifice, and Service during the Bombay Explosion of 1944 The Bombay Dock explosion of April 14, 1944, occurred when the SS Fort Stikine caught fire and detonated at the Bombay Docks, resulting in the loss of over 800 lives and causing extensive destruction across the city. The memorial commemorates this tragic event while remembering the lives lost and the courage of those who responded to the disaster. Rather Than Creating A Static Monument, The Design Transforms Remembrance Into An Experiential Sequence, Allowing Visitors To Understand The Historical Event, Honour The Martyrs, And Participate In Commemorative Ceremonies. N Rail: Masjid Bunder | Dockyard Road (2–3 km) Bus: BEST Bus Network Airport: CSMIA (20–22 km) Landmark: Victoria Dock, Mumbai Port Authority Z O N I N G Conceptual zoning illustrates the spatial relationship between the Gallery, AV Room, Stage, and Entry sequence, creating a seamless journey from learning to commemoration. A C C E S S I B I L I T Y CROSS SECTION The proposed Phase 2 plan extends the existing Fire Memorial with spaces for commemoration, remembrance, and public engagement, including gallery spaces for exhibitions and interpretation, and an open stage and seating area for commemorative gatherings and memorial observances. A U D I O V I S U A L R O O M G A L L E R Y Inspired by the movement of flames, the gallery transforms historical documentation into a spatial narrative. The flowing ceiling, chronological timeline, and martyrs' stories create an immersive experience that educates visitors while honouring the legacy of the firefighters. An immersive storytelling space that educates visitors about the Bombay Dock Explosion through archival films, documentaries, and historical footage. The flame- inspired ceiling symbolises courage and sacrifice, while the warm lighting and tiered seating create a focused and emotionally engaging viewing experience. I N T E R I O R
O P E N S I T T I N G A R E A P H A S E 1 E X T E R I O R The stage and open seating area are designed as a dedicated space for commemorative gatherings, memorial observances, and community engagement. Phase 1 of the Fire Memorial was completed in 2022, establishing the existing memorial and commemorative spaces. Phase 2 is proposed as an extension that strengthens the memorial’s role as a public and educational space
PROJECT 1 - Residential Bungalow PROJECT 2 - Residential Tower Development SITE PHOTOS P R O J E C T 0 1 PROJECT DETAILS LOCATION Golivali Village, Taluka Kalyan, District Thane, Maharashtra PROJECT TYPE Residential Bungalow – Regularisation of First Floor CLIENT REQUIREMENT The client’s bungalow is located in a designated residential zone and has been in residential use since before 1983. The client approached us for the regularisation of the existing first floor of the bungalow. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project involved preparing the necessary municipal drawings, documentation, and submission documents required for the regularisation process, based on the existing site conditions and applicable development regulations. PROJECT DETAILS LOCATION Golivali Village, Taluka Kalyan, District Thane, Maharashtra PROJECT TYPE Residential Tower Development CLIENT REQUIREMENT The client proposed a residential tower development on the existing plot, which was divided into multiple zones and affected by major road reservations. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The plot was divided into three land-use zones — Residential, Public Amenity, and Green Zone. Two proposed roads of 30 m and 18 m width further divided the plot into three parcels. The development was planned by studying the site constraints and applicable provisions of the UDCPR, with the proposed residential towers and site planning developed accordingly. P R O J E C T 0 2
PLOT A – RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT Plot A is designated for residential development. The plot boundary and developable area were established after accounting for the required deduction towards the proposed 18 m wide road. PLOT A TYPICAL FLOOR PLAN FRONT ELEVATION SECTION
PLOT B – GREEN RESERVATION Plot B falls under the Green Reservation category. The development proposal maintains the required balance between preserved open land and permissible construction. As per the applicable UDCPR provisions considered for the submission, 70% of the reservation area is retained as open/green area, while development is restricted to 30%. PLOT B ELEVATION SECTION PLOT C – PUBLIC UTILITY • Plot C is designated for Public Utility use. The applicable development restriction with 60% of the plot to be retained as open area and development permitted within the remaining 40%. • The plot is also affected by the existing 30 m wide road, and the corresponding road widening deduction is incorporated into the calculation of the net developable area. S A T K A R F A M I L Y R E S T A U R A N T A N D B A R The design envisions a moody, immersive restaurant and bar that evokes intrigue and intimacy through a dark, sophisticated palette accented with strategic neon lighting. The interplay of shadow and glow creates a cinematic ambience, where each zone transitions fluidly—guiding guests through a sensory experience. Neon elements are not just decorative but directional, defining space, mood, and movement while echoing urban nightlife culture. The result is a bold yet refined setting that balances drama with comfort, making it ideal for late-night conversations, crafted cocktails, and curated dining experiences. C O N C E P T + M O O D B O A R D SITE PHOTOS Satkar Family Restaurant & Bar is a contemporary hospitality interior project designed to create a vibrant dining atmosphere through warm lighting, bold branding elements, textured finishes, and efficient space planning. The project involved complete interior conceptualisation, material selection, visualisation, and supervision of execution. BAMBOO STRUCTURE WORKSHOP Hands-on Material & Construction Workshop • A hands-on workshop focused on understanding bamboo as a sustainable structural and architectural material. The workshop introduced the fundamentals of bamboo selection, preparation, joinery and structural assembly. • Through practical participation, I worked with a team to measure, cut, position and assemble bamboo members, translating the structural concept into a full-scale temporary installation. Art is an extension of how I observe and interpret the world. Through charcoal sketches, acrylic paintings, and wall art, I explore form, composition, texture, colour, culture, and human expression. My interest in Indian heritage and visual traditions influences much of my work, while the process of creating art strengthens the observation and visual communication skills that I bring into architecture.
