Introduction In our lives we often have to decide between buying things we need and things we want. Sometimes we want things that cost more because they look nicer or have features. Buying things that cost more doesn't always mean they are the best option. For example a person who works in an office can use an affordable laptop for their job instead of getting a very expensive one. Needs are more important than wants because they help us make choices save money and use our money wisely.

BodyFirst we should focus on what we need instead of spending extra money on things we may not use. For example if an office worker only uses a laptop for typing documents sending emails and attending meetings an affordable laptop may already be enough. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau explains the importance of understanding the difference, between needs and wants when making spending decisions.

BodySecond when we pick products we can keep moremoney for things that really matter. According to Consumer.gov making a budget helps people planhow to use their money. Of spending too much on a high‑end laptop the office worker can save the extra money for bills, food or emergencies.

CounterarguementSome people think that buying a laptop is better because it might come with more features and stronger performance. This makes sense for people who work with demanding software or need processing.. For someone who just uses a laptop for simple things, like email, documents or browsing a high-end model may not be worth the extra cost. It’s smart to pick a laptop that works well for tasks and also stays within your budget. You don’t always need the expensive one, just the right one.

ConclusionIn conclusion, needs should come before wants because needs guide us to make money choices. I think an office worker does not always need a laptop if a cheaper laptop can do the job. Even though pricey items can be handy we should think about their use and our budget before we buy. A wise consumer buys what we need not what is more expensive. That means that wants should wait until needs are met.

We learned that we should think carefully before spending my money. Sometimes we want to buy things because they look nice or because other people have them.. We realized that we should focus on the things I really need first. Saving money may not always be easy especially when there are things that I want to buy. It is an important habit to learn. I want to become more responsible, with my money and make decisions for myself and my family.Reflection
