The World of Cariad and The Cariad Collection are commited to supporting the wellbeing of Welsh citizens. The Cariad Collection is the overarching name which encompasses Regulation by Design™, The World of Cariad and The World of Cariad Creative. This company is the brainchild of Suzanne Churcher. She is an experienced artist who understands from experience and research, the impact of art In its many forms on the nervous system of people. Regulation by Design™ is the intersection of her knowledge, research and experience. Its aim is to support the modification of building to create equity in society. The World of Cariad and Cariad Creative are the artistic branches of the company. The World of Cariad consists of a website which currently sells products, using her original art and in 2027 will also host an online retreat. The World of Cariad Creative provides in person creative experiences within Wales for children and adults utilising Welsh venues such as restaurants to support both businesses. 1 The primary purpose of the mini festival is to showcase the online retreat created by The World of Cariad.. THE CARIAD COLLECTION

Accessing wellbeing can be expensive, difficult to understand and navigate and often excludes the arts. The Online and in person Retreat aims to change this. The online retreat will be a low cost monthly subscription that can be opted into and out of easily. There will be accessible art activities and signposting to wellbeing events. It will showcase local businesses that promote self care for wellbeing and support the Welsh economy. The membership will provide access to a wide range of videos, soundtracks and downloadable activities. The in person mini festival will mirror this approach. Entry tickets will be low cost or sponsored by local businesses to provide access to those who need and support and to discover other methods of self care within Wales. It will showcase the online Retreat and the featured businesses and will be as accessible as possible. THE RETREAT 2 SUPPORT IN YOUR POCKET ACCESS FOR ALL

THE VENUE INFORMATION4 Purpose: inaugural Retreat mini-festival launching the ongoing online Retreat; accessible, varied approaches to wellbeing with creativity as wellbeing, not a separate arts add-on. Audience: approximately 150 people, primarily Newport/Gwent/South Wales, adults across ages and demographics; deliberately broad rather than targeted solely at the traditional wellness audience. Format: daytime mini-festival with one substantial central social/immersive space plus simultaneous smaller sessions. Central space: garden/nature-inspired installation, projection/audio, creative activity, artists/business displays, seating/social space and selected Welsh businesses. Separate spaces: movement/yoga; talks and education; quieter practitioner/treatment sessions; creative workshops as required. Experiences: the existing programme only — movement, creativity, nature, sound/breathwork, complementary therapies, menopause/men’s health/practical wellbeing education, food/social connection. Access: accessibility is designed into the event; affordable standard admission, currently modelling around £20, alongside sponsor- funded community tickets and subsidised experiences.

5 Commercial model: independent practitioners can offer optional paid experiences; selected experiences may be sponsor-funded so providers are still paid appropriately. Bedrooms: not required as part of the event package. Set-up: access required before opening for installation/vendor setup and afterwards for breakdown. Previous event: inaugural event, but it’s the physical launch/showcase of an ongoing online offer rather than an isolated one-day event. Date: March, 2027, with whatever flexibility you actually have.

6 AV: projection/sound capability important for the central immersive area. Priorities: accessible circulation, parking, attractive environment, multiple appropriately sized spaces, food/drink availability and affordability. Other venue: Parkway Hotel is also being considered and I’ve already visited it. Budget: affordability is integral to the social-enterprise model, so I’m looking for a venue-hire solution rather than a compulsory delegate package, and I’m developing sponsorship/in-kind partnerships to help keep admission affordable.

W H Y S P O N S ORSHIP? 02 03 01 Businesses could also create bespoke support. Discount codes, sensory items, taster sessions for exposure are just a few. This ensures many Welsh businesses can be supported. Business Support To Provide Low Cost Entry and Experiences. The overall aim of The Cariad Collection is to improve access to wellbeing in an accessible environment. Sponsorship of entry tickets allows a number of tickets to be issued to charities who also offer wellbeing support. As it is also a social enterprise event, sponsorship of tickets for taster sessions supports Welsh businesses to showcase their work to a wide range of people. Another support avenue would be to fund the art supplies, decor items, flowers or bulbs and pots. It is vital for a wellbeing event to provide an accessible venue. To ensure there is adequate parking, lifts, suitable bathroom facilities, enough rooms for quiet/ sensory spaces and offer a good range of experience tasters. The credibility of the venue also signals to attendees they matter and so does wellbeing. A business that has the right facilities and supports charities and wellbeing already understands the needs of the event organiser and the event itself. To Obtain a Suitable Venue 7
