My name is Bonani Maphini, and I am the Artist Representative for Maskandi artist Diliza Debese. I am writing to kindly request that Diliza Debese be considered for a performance at Berlin November. Diliza Debese is a Cape Town-based Maskandi artist and guitarist who has been involved in music since 2013. He started his musical journey as part of the group Amanono and has continued to develop his career as a solo artist. He has released the album Umgodi Ebhojeni in 2023, followed by another album in 2025. In 2026, he released a three-track EP featuring Isiponono, Dubula Mbhemu and Thula Mama. His single Isiponono has already surpassed 70,000 views on YouTube, and we are currently working on growing its reach and building his audience. He worked with established Maskandi artists including Jaiva Zimnike, Shenge waseHlalankosi and Tornado Ntenteni, among others. We believe Diliza Debese would be a great addition to the Berlin November programme and would appreciate the opportunity for him to showcase his music and live performance.
