June 2025 – May 2026 2 ABOUT THE COLLEGE Shree Venkateshwara Arts & Science (Co-Education) College is located in Othakuthirai near Gobichettipalayam was established in 2019 under the patronage of the Shree Venkateshwara Educational and Charitable Trust. The college aims to provide quality education primarily to the students from rural backgrounds, focusing on technical and innovative skills to meet contemporary demands. The institution provides well-equipped laboratories where students can equip themselves through hands–on training experiences, modern workshops for practical training, and extensive libraries stocked with resources to support research and learning. The College adopts as holistic approach to education, aiming not only to produce academically proficient graduates but also to cultivate ethical values and a sense of social responsibility. June 2025 – May 2026 6 ADD ON COURSE The Add-On Course on Photoshop were conducted by Computer Science Department from 16.07.2025 to 22-07-2025. Mr. S. Manikandan, Media Designer, PRO-Office, Nandha Engineering College, Erode, and the chief guest shared about merits of Photoshop and job opportunities in Media design. This course is to equip students with foundational and advanced skills in graphic design, adobe Photoshop interface, essential tools and creative techniques used in visual design and photo editing. A total of 51 interested students enrolled in the program. The course was delivered in an engaging manner, combining theoretical explanations with hands-on training, allowing students to learn by doing. FRESHERS DAY Freshers 2K25 was celebrated on 08.08.2025. Mr. S. M. Muralitharan, Secretary and Mr. N. Gunasekaran, Treasurer, Agni Sirakukal Educational and Charitable Trust, were the Chief guest.
June 2025 – May 2026 7 GUEST LECTURE Guest lecture entitled as ROBOTICS INTELLIGENCE on 25.09.2025.The session delivered by Dr. M. RAJESHWARI Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, RD National Arts and Science College, Erode. The lecture provided comprehensive insights into emerging trends and advancements in Robotics Intelligence and also elaborated on contemporary career prospects and research opportunities in the domains of Artificial Intelligence. Nearly 150 students from III B. Sc Computer Science & III B.Sc Computer Science (AI&DS) actively participated in the program. WORKSHOPS The Department of Computer Science has organized Workshop on JAVA PROGRAMMING AND TESTING TOOLS on 10.10.2025. Mr. Sathishkumar Chidambaram, Senior Consultant, EY, Bangalore, served as the resource person for the programme. The workshop provided in depth exposure to advanced java programming concepts, software testing methodologies and contemporary industrial practices. More than 120 students from III B. Sc Computer Science & III B. Sc Computer Science (AI&DS) actively participated in the workshop.
June 2025 – May 2026 8 A Workshop on UI/UX TRENDS IN WEB DEVELOPMENT on 28th January 2026. Ms. S. Jisha, Managing Director, Technology Specialist Uptech Mentors, Erode was the Resource Person. The workshop provided extensive insights into contemporary UI/UX design methodologies, modern web development framework and user-centric interface engineering practices participants gained valuable exposure to current technological advancements and practical advancements and practical applications in the field of web development. SEMINAR A Seminar on AI & SECURITY was conducted on 12th February, 2026. Mr. R.Vishal Bhardwaj, Fita Acadamy, Branch Head, Tirupur & CEO, GreekPic Creators Pvt Ltd., along with Mr. B. Gokuleshwarn, Senior Security Analyst in Karatikal Tech Ltd, Tirupur Mr. R. Vishal Bhardwaj, Branch Head at Fita Academy, Tirupur & CEO of GreekPic Creators Pvt Ltd as resource person for the programme. The speakers emphasized the significance of secure AI –driven technologies, ethical computing practices and industry oriented security solutions in modern computing environments. This programme enabling students to strengthen their technical awareness.
June 2025 – May 2026 9 HANDS ON TRAINING A Hands on Training on Mastering the Art of Data Analysis was organized on 23rd Feburary, 2026. Ms. S. Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, SNS College of Technology Coimbatore was the resource person. The training session provided practical exposure to contemporary data analysis techniques, analytical methodologies. The resource person demonstrated advanced concepts related to data interpretation, visualization and computational analysis using modern analytical tools and technologies. INDUSTRIAL VISIT Students of B.Sc (CS) and B.Sc CS (AI&DS) successfully visited in an Industrial Visit to SUFFIX E SOLUTIONS, Kochi, on 23 January 2026. A total of 80 students and 2 faculty members attended this visit, which provided them with valuable industry exposure, enhancing their technical knowledge and practical understanding of real-world applications.
June 2025 – May 2026 10 EXTENSION ACTIVITY An Extension Activity was conducted by the Department of Computer Science, in association with Agni Siragugal Educational & Charitable Trust on 19.02.2026. Students from III B.Sc Computer Science& III B.Sc Computer Science (AI&DS) were participated in Cancer Awareness Rally at Karattur Arch, Gobi. This Rally was started by Mr. G. Srinivasan M. P. Ed., Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Mr. S. Tamilarasu B.Sc., Inspector aiming to create awareness among the public about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Students went to Pavala Malai for cleaning Plastic Waste and Tree Plantation . Cancer Awareness speech was given by Mrs. S. R. Indira M.Com., M.Phil.,B.Ed., Retired HeadMistress, Diamond Jubilee Higher Secondary School Gobi. Totally 80 students were participated with two faculty members Mrs. P. Sangeetha & Mrs. K. Iswarya. FACULTY PUBLICATIONS: Ms. B.JEEVITHAPRIYA ➢ Published a research paper titled “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN SMART AGRICULTURE: A Review of Deep Learning–Based Approaches for Plant Disease Detection” published in the International Journal of Engineering Development and Research (IJEDR), January 2026. ➢ Published a research paper titled “OPTIMIZED CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK USING BACTERIAL COLONY OPTIMIZATION FOR PLANT DISEASE DETECTION” in the International Journal of Drug Delivery Technology, a Peer- Reviewed Journal (ISSN: 0975-4415), on 1 April 2026.
