For My Royal Family, For My Royal Family, I don’t always know how to express my feelings and gratitude towards you guys. So, nilagay ko nalang sa mini-poem book na ‘to lahat. Itong mga tula ay simbolo kung gaano ako kaswerte at sobrang saya na nakilala ko ang mga taong kagaya niyo. Yun lang. Enjoy reading po! :)

“Siyempre” Lagi mo kaming pinapakain at inaauraga sa ating opisina. Kung pagandahan at pagalingan ng nanay ang usapan, ay ikaw ang bida. Lagi mong tandaan na nagpapasalamat kami dahil ikaw naging ina namin. Ikaw ang nag-iisang ina na para sa amin. Siyempre ikaw lang ang aming mami cora na ubod ng ganda. Ikaw lang ang pinakadiosa sa buong opisina. Ikaw ang pinakamasarap na magluto, yung tipong di na kami makapagsalita. Sa araw man o gabi, ikaw pa rin ang aming beauty queen. Sa dami mong anak ni isa’y wala kang kinalimutan Lagi mong sinisigurado na lahat ay nakakaranas ng alagang cora. Sa bawat kainan, kulitan, at chismisan nating mag-ina ay walang katumbas ang saya. Salamat sa walang sawang pag-intindi at pagmamahal mo sa iyong mga chikiting. Siyempre, kahit anong mangyari ikaw pa rin ang aming tanging ina. Siyempre, sa loob at labas man ng opisina ay ikaw pa rin ang pangalawang nanay namin. Siyempre, lagi mong tatandaan na andito lang ang mga anak mo para samahan ka. Siyempre, gusto namin magpasalamat kay lord at ipinakilala sa’min ang nag-iisang office mama namin.
“Nothing” Sleeping on calls and playing Valorant are some of our favorite things to do. Finding a good place to eat or having our Friday drink nights is also a go- to escape. Watching each other sleep without feeling awkward. Singing without thinking about what others might say because we know how good we are. Crying in front of each other without feeling judged. Laying our heads on each other’s shoulders when we feel sleepy and tired. Holding each other’s hand when we feel the cold of the air conditioning. Playing games that I probably let you win because I like seeing your reaction. Jjampong and Blueberry Dutchmilk that we shared in the pantry. Exchanging Jackets and Caps, acting like we’re the same size. Wearing your glasses, acting like I’m as smart as the person who owns it. Making each other as our human source of warmth and comfort. There are no words that can describe how much I’m blessed to have someone like you. There is no uncertainty that I will still choose to be friends with you even in a different universe. There are no regrets in me that I introduced you to my friends because I know you’re a good one. There is no doubt that I will choose to do nothing with you rather than not to be with you.
“Beautiful Girl” A beautiful girl named Samantha who’s the best hugger in the entire world. A girl who knows when you’re struggling and gives you a hug that makes you fold. A girl who faces so many challenges in life, still standing fierce and bold. A girl who knows what she wants and doesn’t need to please anyone because she knows she’s good enough. A friend who randomly treats you to food because she knows it would make you happy. A friend who will protect and fight for you because she won’t let anyone hurt the people she loves. A friend who randomly gives the best hugs to her friends because she knows they bring comfort. A friend who would listen to you rant and understand you because she knows everything will eventually be alright. With you, everything feels so comfortable and light, like we’re on fluffy clouds. With you, doing ordinary things feels extraordinary like we’re in amazing places. With you, people felt comfortable telling their life stories like we’re in a place with no fear of judgement. With you, people feel at ease and relaxed and it sums up what kind of person you are. You may not realize how special and precious a human you are. You become the sunshine and anchor of this family because that’s the way you are. You are one of the future stars of this family because you are destined to shine. At the end of the day, you are not just a girl, or a friend. But you are, our Samantha, our one and only gem.
“Sparks” The first time I saw you, I noticed how precious and special you are. Wondering during the lesson and being quiet during our break time. I remember how we walked towards you, started talking, and took our time. I remember how you looked at us, and we talked about random things. I remember when we started commuting together and faced hardship during rush hours. I remember when we walked alongside Jenny’s and started to get to know each other. I remember when we were talking and your eyes were shining bright and I saw sparks. I remember when we were inside the training room, seeing you persevere while staying curious. Random voicemails and chitchat we sent to each other at random hours. Random food trips and walk trips that we went took to make new memories. Random chikas and kwentuhan without the fear of being judged. Random moments in our friendship and family that we would treasure the most. Remember not to lose that spark inside your heart. No matter what happened, your family and friends are here for you all throughout. We believed that you can soar and fly high, spread your wings and keep spreading kindness. Just take your time, remember that we got your back, and take care of yourself, and that sparks.
“Yellow” The first time I talked to you, it started when I borrowed your charger. The first time I saw your eyes and your smile, they shined so bright like a star. The first time I sat beside you, thinking you would be quiet, turns out it was quite the opposite. The first time we talked about random things, not knowing we would become this close. Recreating online memes that you would say even though I usually don’t get them, you still make them look funny. Random teasing that would make us embarrassed, and we would apologize afterwards. Random gestures that you show to us that can bring us comfort and make us warm. Random moments that I never thought I would have if I hadn't borrowed your charger. From borrowing your charger, to borrowing your phone sometimes, to taking random pictures to cherish those moments. From that charger, I would never have thought that I would have this kind of amazing friendship. From that charger, I now have annoying friends like siblings who tease me and throw random online jokes From that charger, we have Jennika, whom I usually call Jennifer because either way, it sounds cute. I’m so thankful that I didn’t hold back from borrowing that charger, because look where we are now. I’m so thankful that I have this little sibling who usually scolds me for drinking energy drinks and eating junk foods. I’m so thankful that I have Jennika who can give me advice and make me laugh afterwards. At the end of the day, you are Jennika. Our friend, our sibling, and one of the lights in our family. Thank you for being our yellow.
“Pamilyang Cinco-Montefalco” Itong pamilyang ‘to ang isa sa rason kung bakit ako naniniwala na hindi lahat ng pamilya ay nasa dugo. Isang pamilya na nagturo na masayang magmahal at kahit anong bigat ng buhay ay magaan basta’t magkakasama. Isang pamilya na alam mong kahit magkalayo o subukin ng panahon ay hindi basta-bastang magbabago. Ngayon ay samahan niyo ako at ipapakilala ko ang pamilyang pinalaki ng isang Cora. Ang pamilyang binubuo ng limang chikiting na pinalaki ni Cora at ng tiyuhin nilang si Jhong. Ang kanilang ina, na si Cora na walang sawang maghain ng kanyang mga putahe. Siya ang naging ilaw at haligi ng kanilang tahanan sa gusali ng Sagility. Siya ang pinakadiosa, pinakamaganda, at pinakakuwelang tao na nakilala namin. Andito din ang kanilang kuya-titong si Jhong, puro kalokohan pero alam mong pag naagrabyado ka ay isa siya sa mga sasaklolo sa’yo. Hindi niya hahayaan na madehado ka sa kahit ano mang kaguluhan ang mangyari sa’yo. Master siya sa kalokohan, pero bihasa na rin sa mga aral dahil sa mga pinagdaanan niya sa buhay. At, Siyempre. Andito rin ang panganay na si Mary June. Ang panganay na sinisigurado na natatrato nang tama ang lahat. Ang panganay na titigan ka lang kapag nag-joke ka, yung tipong mahihiya ka na lang. Pero kahit ganun siya, siya pa rin ang aming pipiliin na panganay dahil dabest siya. At narito rin ako, si Rain, pangalawa sa panganay pero dinaig pa sa kakulitan ang bunso nila. Ang batang natuto na ang pamilya ay hindi lang para sa mga kadugo, dahil pwede din itong mga katrabaho. Andito rin si Samantha, pangatlong panganay na supplier ng pinakawarm na hug sa buong mundo. Andito rin si Rose, ang pangalawang bunso na napaka aesthetic at alam mong manang-mana sa nanay niya. At sa huli, andito rin ang bunsong si Jennika, ang bunso ng pamilyang Cinco-Montefalco na parang all in one. Paniguradong maasahan mo sa seryosong usapan at maaasahan mo din sa mga kalokohan. Pito lang sila sa pamilyang ‘to pero siksik sa kasiyahan at pagmamahal ang pamilyang ‘to. Pamilyang binubuo ng tawanan, iyakan, kalokohan, sa ganda at hirap ng buhay, ang mahalaga ay magkasama sila. Yan ang pamilyang Cinco- Montefalco. Isang pamilyang hindi kailangang kadugo para matawag na pamilya. Ang mahalaga, masaya, okay, at kompleto.
