BABA AYA SINGH JIChallengesThe Problem They Saw“EARLIER, PEOPLE HAD A PROBLEM BECAUSE IN THE EARLY 1900S, MANY VILLAGERS BELIEVED THAT GIRLS DID NOT NEED FORMAL EDUCATION. PEOPLE CRITICIZED HIS IDEA OF OPENING A PUTRI PATHSHALA. THOUGH,HE HIMSELF DID NOT OWN ENOUGH LAND TO BUILD THE SCHOOL. SOME VILLAGERS REFUSED TO PROVIDE LAND AND OPPOSED THE PROJECT.
