WELCOME to See Through. A painting exhibition collectively curated and featuring painters from the Turps Off-Site Programme, the exhibition brings together a group of artists working across a mixture of styles, interests and approaches to painting. Offering a snapshot of the group’s current practices, the show reflects the different concerns, influences and conversations shaping the work being made right now. The title See Through can be read in a few different ways: as a way of recognising something hidden, seeing something clearly, or sticking with something and seeing it through to the end. Across the exhibition, these ideas emerge in different forms, while the works highlight both the variety of the group and the unexpected connections that can be found between them.
