The newsletter announces the Epic Fall Release 2026 going live on October 4th. It introduces a new tool inside Epic that shows changes affecting specific roles and workflows, with built-in tipsheets. Staff are advised to watch for the megaphone icon and review changes before the go-live date.
It provides instructions for submitting service requests, incidents, and enhancement or optimization ideas through Epic's FIX IT button. For critical issues affecting patient care, staff are directed to call the IT Service Desk immediately. Go-live support is available from October 4th to 7th.
The FOIS Office Hours program has launched, offering live support sessions for front office teams to ask workflow questions, review processes, and receive real-time guidance. FOIS team members are paired into regional buddy teams covering cities and streets across Georgia, including Austell, Douglasville, Marietta, Atlanta, and others.
Workflow updates include the removal of the No-Show button from DAR and Appointment Desk system-wide effective July 8, 2026. Staff are instructed to use End of Day to mark patients as No Show. Additionally, Case Entry now asks if a patient is transferring from an outside facility, and Advance Directives should not have an expiration date set.
A new Wellsource page for Front Office Informatics provides tipsheets, quick links, and support resources. The newsletter also includes a message from IT leadership encouraging staff to keep moving forward until November.
