2026 Strategic Planning Session Agenda - MEGID

Day 1 (4 November) covers registration, national anthem, welcome remarks, and commissions from the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, Ministers Without Portfolio, and the Prime Minister. Sessions include project planning, national importance of strategic planning, finance and budget management overview, and setting the scope of works through group activities and presentations.

Day 2 (5 November) begins with recap of Day 1, presentation and validation of the ministry's vision, mission, and strategic objectives, and a review of MEGID performance trends from 2024 to 2026. Afternoon sessions cover audit fundamentals, risk management, finance and budget management for public bodies, portfolio agencies' priorities, and alignment of priorities with medium-term projections.

Day 3 (6 November) focuses on annual bill of quantities for operational planning, including development of divisional bill of quantities for FY 2027/28, identification of strategies and key performance indicators. Risk management sessions cover identification of risks and key risk indicators, working group discussions on risk mitigation, and presentation of divisional operational plans with feedback and recommendations.

The session concludes with a closing session including feedback forms and closing remarks. The overall theme is 'Rebuilding from within to Strengthen Jamaica's Resilience and Economic Growth'.
