BR27Dear Supporter, When I first joined Bobcat Racing, as a freshman in 2023, I never imagined I'd one day be writing this letter as President. I joined because of my love for motorsport, but I quickly fell in love with the atmosphere and the team itself. The passion, dedication, and energy within Bobcat Racing were unlike anything I had experienced. As the team’s public relations lead, my role looked different from many of my teammates, but I found ways to contribute wherever I could; whether that was working hands-on with the car, supporting our team behind the scenes, or helping share the story of what we build. Today, I’m honored to serve as Bobcat Racing’s first female President. This milestone reflects the culture we’ve built: a team where passion, dedication, and leadership matter more than your major or background. This season, we’re focused on growing Bobcat Racing both on and off the track; expanding our partnerships, strengthening our team culture, and creating opportunities for every member to contribute. Your support makes that possible. Bobcat Racing is Texas State University’s Formula SAE team, dedicated to designing, building, and competing with a student-built formula-style race car. Each year, Formula SAE challenges student teams worldwide to not only create a high-performance car, but also manage the project like a professional race program, balancing engineering, business, sponsorships, and teamwork. Our team has grown rapidly, bringing together students from Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business disciplines. This collaboration allows us to simulate a real motorsport organization where every role, from design and fabrication to marketing and sponsorship outreach matters. 3 COMPETITIONS Texas Autocross Weekend Every fall, University of Texas Arlington hosts the Texas autocross competition hosting over 15 universities from various states, with this past year over 45 different cars and 200 drivers competing throughout the weekend. The weekend is supported by Toyota, Mouser Electronics, and many more allowing for student networking with companies and other teams. At the 2025 Texas Autocross, Bobcat Racing had extremely competitive times against comparable designs. With multiple different track set-ups, it gives us an opportunity to test our car under many conditions against teams we see at the Formula SAE IC competition. Formula SAE IC Michigan Held at Michigan International Speedway, SAE hosts an international Formula competition with 120+ school coming from all over the world. Teams are judged on static and dynamic events, such as acceleration, endurance, and ability to handle the autocross course. During this competition the business team pitches the car design as a viable production prototype, and is judged on the cost report, technical details, and profitability. 4 ORGANIZATION GOALS & OBJECTIVES Expand our sponsorship program to support advanced materials, manufacturing processes, and cutting-edge component's. Compete at the Formula SAE competition and represent our university with professionalism, teamwork, and competitive results. Enhance student learning by giving members hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, project management, and leadership to prepare industry-ready engineers and business leaders. Place higher in the 2027 competition by enhancing design documentation, part validations, and setting a time at each event. Build long-term relationships with sponsors through consistent communication, updates, and collaborative opportunities. Produce a FSAE car in one year with testing starting in march to allow for reliability and any required changes.
